Ok, so he beat The Ring #5 SBW Cordoba for an interim belt in his 7th pro fight with one difficult moment but overall putting on an unexciting tecnical masterclass, something Rigo and Ronnie Shields should work on, plenty of threads on the subject.

Now... what was somewhat surprising for me is that Rigondeaux only put on 2 pounds from Friday and was outweighed by 9 on fight night, which is huge difference in these lower divisions. At one point Rigo actually considered moving moving down to bantamweight, weighed 119 two fights before, and at 30 he's not gonna grow into higher classes - so should he move down to a division he seems to fit in more naturally, and join Montiel, Perez, Darchinyan, Mares, Agbeko, Donaire and the underrated Moreno?

    Yes I think so
The dimensions of Cordoba seemed to be giving him trouble rather than the weight, making it difficult to cleanly land his counters.

I'm interested in what Top Rank and HBO have to say about Rigo's performance and future. I think fighting Ryol Li Lee would be a nice first step to get the full title, then move down to 118 and either look for the BW tourney winner or whoever wins Montiel vs. Donaire if that fight ever gets made.
