Rigo looked cluless in there. Loma is a master tactician.

I'm no huge fan of rigo but you cannot deny the guy was a special talent… He doesn't have a fan friendly style & acts like a little ***** but he undoubtedly got one of the best wins of the past decade, and just imagine if he had turned pro much earlier.. and when you consider that he is a 40-year-old BW still able to compete with the best at that weight it does highlight how good he was in his prime.. he's a bit of a tool but he's still one of the greatest Cuban boxers ever

    He`s a cheat:
    3:15 illegal dipping. 4:13, 4:21 4:34 4:36 5:50 6:06 6:11 Finally ref warns Rigo for dipping below Loma`s waist. 7:17 7:45

He was clearly an elite top level talent.

He jumped two weight classes for Loma so I can't hold that against him.

It's still one of the best match ups, two masters of the sport, an underrated fight

It's a masterclass by Loma, but you have to appreciate that Rigo was jumping up two weights, was in his late 30s and was facing a masterful opponents in his own right. It's massively to his credit that he took the fight. There isn't a fighter in history who could've done better in that situation. No fighter Rigondeaux's size could've moved up and beaten Loma at super-feather, and there's no way in hell they could do it while 38 years old.

That said, it was an absolute dissection and an incredible performance. Lomachenko's best IMO.

Rigo quit because he was being outclassed, not because he was being beaten up by the bigger fighter. Lomachenko is the more skilled fighter h2h and p4p.

Even Loma wasn't satisfied with that victory, talking about the weight difference.

Loma was taller, Rigo was longer.
    Equal in overall speed.

This wasn't GGG vs Brook where one man brought all his size to bear on the other. Loma never applied his weight advantage to walk through punches and deliver a beating to Rigo. Rigo never touched him.

This was all skill. I was shocked witnessing this live.

Rigo didn't even try to run. Futile. Safer attempting to hold the center and getting carved up.

It was Loma’s easiest fight. Did Rigo land one punch? All he did was hold, try to hold and hit and duck down below Lomas waist.

Loma didn’t want this fight, and showed respect for Rigo. Just think, if Loma refused the fight, the same guys slagging him for giving Rigo a beating would be accusing him of ducking the great Rigo! Look through some of the old threads where many Rigo fans accused Loma of ducking the guy. They said he was going to break Loma’s jaw. Hilarious.

Rigo never looks passionate but he looked like he didn't want to be there. Strangely put in minimal effort compared to his norm. Just totally smoked by the better fighter. So one sided.
