the fight against VW2 should start building up if he beats Cordoba and will be another Gamboa-Lopez kind of thing.
    Cuba vs PR..cant wait.

He does have way too low a work rate, but to his credit the guy is a devastating puncher for a Pure Boxer. I would not mind the work rate so much if it wasn't for the addition of the "tough guy antics".

Watching his last fight against a completely over matched opponent I was just getting tired with his strutting arms out stance. This dude is nowhere near your level. Use your feet and show us some flashy punching. Stay in the pocket and show us your defense and counters. On this level of opponent you are supposed to be a BEAST.

Thing with Rigo is that he doesnt care about impressing people,he may fight Perikiti Perez with the same passion he will fight Manny Pacquiao. He just go there to win the fight.(perikiti perez is a fictional fighter, for those already looking in boxrec)

Eh, there have been other guys I've thought that about before, but then when they eventually face someone they need to turn up the heat against, it turns out they're just not able to do it. Like Chad Dawson, for example.

I think it's spelled Perikito Pérez, I just found him in Boxrec.

I have noticed that he drops his hands when he pivots away, but thats about the only real flaw I have seen from him so far, hard to judge as he has had so few rounds, that said, his long range game looks immense, he seems to have this intuitive sense for distance.

we all had flaws, don't we? It will always b something, now Rigondeaux doesn't throw enough punches, not that he doesn't land enough, that he is not agressive, them we flip the coin and we have gamboa, he is too agressive, he gets himself open for counter, he has a glass chin, etc.. nobody is perfect, and why fix what is not broken, anyone that would try to rush and push Rigondeaux will get decked, period.

Yeah I agree his workrate is too low at the moment, though he is very very precise with his punches. his accuracy is as good as it gets, but he does tend to throw only one or two punches at a time. I also noticed that he pulls his upper body back with his shoulder in front, he is not in a great position. Kinda like Mayweathers shoulder roll, but because hes a southpaw hes in an even more vulnerable to right hands and left hooks....Oh and Im picking Cordoba to upset him.

You simply don't know Rigondeaux enough if you are picking Córdoba.

Ive seen all his pro fights so far. His last amateur fight was 2 years before he turned pro. Hes fought about 20 rounds in the last 4 years against limited opposition. Cordoba has challenged twice for a world title in the last 4 years and his only defeat in that time was to Dunne, who Cordoba was beating up till he got stopped. I

m not saying cordoba is the more skilled fighter, hes not, but hes a more experienced pro. Plus hes a southpaw. Rigo has yet to face a southpaw in his career and generally southpaws dont bring out the best in each other.
