Is this guy for real? I might don't like a fighter, but I'll never dismiss him because my preference, if the guy is good, he is good, I'll never go against my common sense. But this Freddy character is a little to wacko.

i never said the guy wasn't good...i said his style isn't yet suited for the pros....he's a boring, quick , slapping type of fighter.......compare his first fight to miguel cottos first pro fight, YOU WILL SEE A HUGGGGGGGGGGE DIFFERENCE between a good amateur that turned pro and was suited for it....vs a good amateur that style wise will not make noise......

gamboa is cubas ticket, but he's a bit chinny so who knows how long he'll last.....but i really do like gamboa and enjoy watching him fight.....

you guys act as if no one can touch or criticize your cuban fighters.....this aint the spot for you guys if you're gonna take everything to the ass....relax, opinions do exist and we can apply them to cubans too

look at this, you just knew he was gonna be a great fighter.....

Slapping?? A guy that sucks the life out of you with 1 body blow is slapping now. Freddy is just nervous of all the Cuban Talent. The best Mexican prospect i see is Canelo and he loses to lara. remember i said it.

I'm rooting for Cordoba here. He's a warrior, even though he may be a little past it.

The only reason your rooting for Cordoba is becaue he gave Dune a tough fight.

yea he does have a low work rate, but he's very effective. he has the experience from the amateurs, but not until he fights a fighter worth mentioning we don't know how good he really is. I'm a big fan of Gamboa, but he didn't look that good to me in his last fight. he has the physical tools, but I don't think he has the coolness that Rigo has. Gamboa fights with much more intensity, but not until he beats a Cris John or anybody at that level then I will join the bandwagon.

Im rooting for Cordoba because i like the way he fights and i think he can beat Rigondeaux. As an amateur Rigondeauxs acomplishments are huge but this isnt amateur boxing. As a pro hes only ever fought to 8 one rounds and has never fought a fighter of the caliber of Cordoba. Cordoba on the other hand has been in with some very good fighters including Poonsawat, and im sure anyone who saw that fight knows that he beat poonsawat. Hes also got a lot of talent himself, hes rangy with good power, hand speed and counter punching ability aswell as a lot of heart and a sturdy chin.Imo he earns a ud decison win against Rogondeaux, i could be wrong and rigondeaux could win the fight but ive got a feeling this step up against cordoba wont go well for him

That's what you wish, out of an unfounded kind of hate. It's either that, or you don't know boxing.

Rigondeaux will mop the floor with Córdoba. This is another thread I bookmark, as I will come back here, and if you all have the guts, you will come back too to admit it and eat crow. I'll be around.

If im wrong ill admit it ive no problem with that and i actually like Rigondeaux as a fighter. but anybody who dosent give Cordoba a decent chance of winning the fight obviously hasnt watched him fight much, hes as experienced as they come and your not giving him a chance against a fighter whos only been 8 rounds once and has only 8 pro fights.
