I have been saying this since he turned pro. This guy has flaws that will not make him an elite pro. His style is better suited for the ams and tonight you got a glimpse of it. IMO he didnt even deserve the win tonight. He runs too much, throws too few punches, lacks power and doesnt have that professional "toughness" that is needed. His style is perfect for a counter punching amateur.
he'll never amount to anything , the guy fights like a complete ***** and has a glass chin. Kordoba hurt him bad with a freaking right jab... after that moment Rigondeaux began to run the rest of the entire fight.
Agree, the ****er wasted all our time waiting for the main event. That fight was his chance to shine, to showcase his power, skills and heart. Instead, he convinced everybody that he is just another boring mofo. I think he wil end up like Audley, all flash but nothing much else to offer.
He didn't deserve the win? When did you start watching boxing? Yesterday? Córdoba threw like 10 punches in the whole fight and connected 1. 7th fight and against a very good and seasoned pro, with height and reach advantage and 40 something fights. He beat Córdoba. You don't like his style? Don't watch, but he won well. Go learn something about boxing. That's even more absurd. Go watch the fight, really. I mean, really.
So because he touches the canvas he has a glass chin now? I been saying this for awhile, Cuban boxers have been in the amateurs so long that they leave their hands low because they have the headgear to protect their chin. Those habits are being carried into their professional ring and it makes them look more vulnerable than what they really are.
Headgear doesn't protect the chin. They do it to create angles and counter punch. That's a ridiculous theory. Rigondeaux looked great tonight against a negative opponent
So you believe that guys like Gamboa and Ricgondeux have suspicious chins then. and :rofl @ you if you thought Rigo looked great tonight.
He's not a ****ing world champ. Julio Cesar Chaves jr holds the WBC diamond belt, is he a world champ? Is Dmitri Sartison a world champ aswell?
I bet if you hadn't heard his name untill fight time and saw him enter the ring with his 6 fights against Cordobo you would say ''wow that's damn impressive who is that guy?!'' Learn something about boxing because it takes 2 to tango Cordoba wasn't doing sh*t all night long. ''Lacks power''
No they keep their hands low and get caught occasionally, boxing is a contact sport you know. As far as I know neither of the guys you mentioned have been knocked out. I wouldn't expect you to have enjoyed the boxing performance by Rigo, you obviously know **** all about boxing.
