He just fought The Ring #5 SBW, an experinced ex-world champion 3 years younger with a major reach advantage, and other than a shaky moment (which proved Rigo has a heart too) he showcased his sweet science over 12 and won comfortably. Not bad after 6 fights with going past the 8th for the first time.

The thing is: this is his style and it's not very entertaining, that's why I think he should get back to Roach as he has Pac's footwork, speed, reflexes and actually his power if stands his ground, so why not have his aggression? Roach is the man for the job.

well you gotta take it easy here....its his 7th PRO fight so i mean there is a learning curve still.

With that said...somebodies gotta tell the guy he has to still fight after he has the lead.....if you want an example of running.....this is it and i dont even think he had to do that.

Headgear doesn't really protect you against KO's. They are good protection against cuts. They have their guard down to invite someone to throw so they can counter.

He does have all those attributes but Pacquiao's biggest attributes are his heart and chin. Pacquaio is willing to take a shot to land 2 shots. Rigo is a master technician and would probably outbox Pacquaio but will never be a crowd pleaser like Pacquiao.

He has 7 pro fights. I don't care how old he is or how many gold meddals he has won. No one with 7 pro fights should be in a championship fight. His people should protect him for a few fights before putting him in deeper waters.

Man Rigo really let me down. As talented as Gamboa and Rigo are, the higher caliber they start facing, they don't seem as unbeatable as they first seemed and hyped up to be. I've been noticing a trend where both fighters seem to wanna show alot of confidence by being cocky and it backfires on them. I still am a fan of Rigo, he has awesome balance, timing, skills, but I think also Cordoba was alittle underrated and proved a much harder opponent than previously thought. I don't think Rigo should go any higher in weight. I actually thought he was better than Gamboa and Lopez, but even if the guy was 6-0 there should be no excuses. Then why the hell is he fighting for a belt if he isn't ready yet? He didn't look well in his coming out party at all. Keep rushing him like this he isn't going to be undefeated for long.

Has Rigo or anybody from his team given a comment on the fight?

I reckon he might have bust up his hand or something, the way he just stopped throwing punches and got on his bike even though he didn't look hurt or tired was a bit odd I thought

It's a mystery to me why he stopped going to Córdoba's body after he hurt Córdoba. I just can't understand it.

I wasnt impressed either but i kind of knew it his style doesnt make for exciting fights. He's a myweather, medrick taylor, whitaker clone... is a style of hitting and moving a lot and avoiding exchanges. He's not as good as people were making him to be but he's not as bad either. He's a good boxer that will go as far as his conditioning and chin will take him. He can outbox anybody but does he has the stamina to fight 12 tough rds and the chin to keep him up.

We'll see in the future but for the people that are mentioning his 7fights know that he's 30yrs old and that's whats going to keep him from being a great one. From now on he's only going to fight against the best of the best and that means he can only fight 2 to 3 times a year max. That's 12 fight max before he's over the hill and old.

    :hat

Yeah he'll probably end up with some weird pro record with less than 20 fights, but nearly all of them big names

As opposed to most guys these days who get past 20+ journeymen and nobodies before they fight a meaningful opponent

Rigondeuax just became a champion in 7 fights, never been done before, won easily against against a proven champion, what more can you ask.
