If your basing it on records there no you have to say Ward is better at this stage If your asking my guy feeling as to whose a better fighter skills wise for their weight, then yes I think Rigo is a better fighter, but less proven. Clearly he holds a much better win in Donaire than any Ward has which also needs to be taken into account when looking at records, but Ward beat enough top fighters to have the nod here, even though Donaire better than anyone ward beat
The reason Rigondeaux is better is because he knows how to box really well without using any dirty tactics. It's all clean and pure. Ward on the other hand uses boxing and dirty tricks like his constant headbutting and clinching. Rigondeaux is on another level.
Ward is a more rounded fighter than Rigondeaux, but Rigondeaux is exceptional at his preferred style and brings more athleticism, better defensive instincts, quicker feet, quicker hands, and much more power and explosiveness to the table. Very tough to separate them. Ward has more quality wins and has looked fantastic in beating top-tier super middleweights, but Rigondeaux has the best win between them (and I think it's safe to say he would put on spectacular performances against guys on the Kessler and Froch, and especially Abraham, level). A P4P match between them would be something, although I'd favor Rigondeaux.
Ward has been tested time and time again by top guys rigo has one fight vs a top guy so I can't say he's stronger mentally as of now.
If CV alone was the only factor in these p4p decisions I would still be including Bernard Hopkins. I still have Ward number 2. Rightfully close though.
