There was a reason Donaire was favored by the bookies to beat Rigo. Remember not all the best teams win, upsets happen in sports. Tyson was suppose to destroy Buster Douglas but lost because he had issues where he didn't train for the fight and had lots of stuff going on in his personal life. Are people going to say Douglas is better than Tyson? No, Tyson just had an off night and Donaire had an off night against Rigo. I'm not taking anything away from Rigo, he's a good fighter but he's not in the class of Pacquiao, Ali, Tyson, Mayweather, Donaire etc., but I am willing to give Rigo a chance. I want Rigo to succeed and even though I was falling asleep, I took some redbull and 5 hour energy because I wanted to see Rigo KO Agbeko. It never happened. :?

It was a thumb in the eye. Donaire had Rigo hurt in the 10th round by his left hook and was about to score a stoppage in the 12th round but got a thumb in the eye. Similar to what happened to the other Cuban Lara in his fight against Angulo. Angulo dropped Lara and was about to stop him too but got thumb in the eye.

Donaire was about to stop Rigo, but caught a thumb in his eye? Then Rigo must throw a hell of a THUMB PUNCH to BREAK Donny's ORBITAL CHEEK BONE with that shot.

Rigo may be a superior skilled boxer but is hardly entertaining and thats what pays the bills. He and his team don't get that.
If I want to watch a pillow fight I will watch my kids do their thing before bedtime.
In the meantime,I will watch Rigo only if there is a blackout on all the rest of the sports channels.

The phantom Cuban thumb punch is a force to be reckoned with.

No more boring than Mayweather...They both hit and don't get hit well, so they both don't take chances and go for the KO's. The difference being, however, Rigo is actually more skilled.

:rofl Here we go again, "about to score a stoppage". Just like Pac was about KO JMM right? *******s always have excuses. Rigo schooled Donaire beyond any doubt. Look at any post fight picture and tell me who was going to stop whom.

It was a thumb in the eye. Rigo has no power. Same thing in the Angulo fight where he got a thumb in the eye from Lara. As for the 10th, Donaire dropped Rigo with his left hook. Donaire should have finished him off there but I don't think he could have because his shoulder was injured. A healthy Donaire would have KO'd Rigo with the initial left hook.

Oh now, "a healthy Donaire". More excuses, blah blah blah blah blah

Don't forget ... Donaire didn't properly train. He didn't watch videos. Come on man keep the excuses coming, maybe time will reverse itself if you type them fast enough. You got more excuses than Manny owes to the IRS.

Rigondeaux vs Donaire ESPN highlights on YouTube has a closeup angle of that left to Donaire eye. It is center glove and flush. Nowhere near the thumb. Try another excuse.

Also, the Lara punch to Angulo is the exact same thing on YouTube. A flush shot, center glove, not a thumb. Next time you make things up be sure there aren't YouTube videos showing closeup angles that directly say you're a liar.

At least Mayweather tries to go for the KO like in the Ortiz fight. If you put Rigo in that situation, I don't think he would even try for the sucker punch.
