Rigondeaux is a seven-time (2000–06) Cuban national champion at bantamweight. He currently claims an amateur record of nearly 400 fights.

Bumkiller Rigondeaux is a glass jawed fraud who will get starched the moment he fights one of the elite

Donaire ices him with glancing blows

Maybe they should allow him to wear headgear in the pros, then perhaps he wouldn't be dropped by jabs from bums.

Only a scared Donaire fan would prevent him from fighting Rigo. The Cuban is considered one of the best in his division. Why would you not have them fight? If Rigo is overrated then Donaire should have an easy fight. But I'd rather see him dominate Rigo than someone who's not considered to be at the top of the division like Arce.

Does that count in the pro? :D He needs to improve his resume before he can considered for bigger fights. What about Mares, Darchi, Vasquez, or even Arce?

Donaire is only 29 while Rigo is 32. Donaire has all the time to wait for Rigo to better his fight records.

Ah, so you want to see a guy with 11 fights in with the elite of the division. Why not throw every fighter with 11 fights in with the very best? Or here's a novel idea, why don't we let him develop a little longer? In his 7th fight he beat a top 10 fighter and title holder, that doesnt mean he doesn't need time to learn his craft, it just means he's got great potential and skills that need to be fine tuned.

You obviously have a personal dislike of Rigo, it's the only thing that explains your irrational view.

Once Rigo has the top 10 fighters in his resume, he'll improve his marketability. More boxing fans will watch his fights and a fight with the champion will be a surefire blockbuster. Having said that, Rigo has to prove himself first. Fights are made by resumes, not by hypes. I don't think you would want to watch a lopsided fight.

  9. I like Donaire and Rigo, but as has been pointed out Rigo has vast experience and should be fighting better opposition if he is really all that. This fight probably will not happen till 2014 Rigo needs to take on better competition before trying to fight Donaire.

Where did you learn your math? They're only a few yrs apart. 29 isn't exactly a young age. You obviously don't care about what the fans want. You only side with Donaire's agenda because well, according to you, he can do no wrong. Donaire needs to test himself against guys who are a threat. Rigo is one of them. No more paper champs or washed up fighters for Donaire. Nobody wants to see that. It's about what the fans want. You can never argue against that.

    You're a fruitcake....In Donaire's first 11 pro fights...he had already taken a loss...furthermore he was not a world champion after 10 fights....

In fact if Donaire fought f**king Mathabula who has no fans or marketability you're telling me he can't fight Rigondeaux...? really...if Rigondeaux is such trash why is Donaire making every excuse in the book to fight everyone other that Rigondeaux? C'mon son...stop it 5

people hyping donaires resume and yes it is good its hardly fair to compare it to rigos considering he has only had 11 fights and because he aient the biggest draw like donaire he immediately becomes to high risk low reward THATS WHY NO ONE WANTS TO FIGHT HIM

i get that boxing is a business. any guy in the division will take a fight with donaire because if they loose it doesent really hurt them.. they were expected to loose
