If Lomachenko goes down to 122 to pick up WBO/WBC/Lineal 122 title even better, becoming 2 division champion at 3-0 (KO 3) :smoke

Then 4th fight vs Mikey Garcia 4-0 (KO 4) 3 division champion, nothing to lose :hey

Thats why his management is horrible for not starting him at 112 lbs, nothing wrong with doing it now.

2014 Roman Gonzalez vs Rigondeaux for the #1 P4P spot @112 lbs, then moves up picks up 115 & a barn burner vs Yamanaka at 118

This is not in his management agenda, cause all they know is Olympics

Unfortunately Arum is not interested in this either, for 2 reasons:

#1 Rigondeaux is an old, slick dark skinned fighter who doesn't slug...Not the best product for his Latin/Roman loving slugger market

#2 Roman Gonzalez 112 & Yamanaka 118 are within the Japanese Sphere of influence...Opposed to Bob Arum newly found Sinocentric Zhongguo based strategy, which makes these fight less attractive to Bob Arum, both financially & ideologically :blood

Good. Hes too good at that weight and frankly so good that it actually makes him look boring in my opinion and if he wants some sort of legacy he needs to be challenged.

Rigondeaux is Vice President of the 'Andre Ward too good for ya own good Club'.

126 makes sense, lamanchenko could be a potential super fight of the future.

    1. Skillwise, Rigo is heads ahead of anyone at 126 with the exception of Lomachenko
    2. Rigo is not a brilliant fighter like Donaire(used to). Donaire made a name for himself by running through a list of good fighters with a few hicups on the way. Rigo made a name for himself(if you forgot his olympic background) by outclassing and schooling his opponents. Granted, he too had a few hicups and whatnot.
    3. Fighters, just like any other person can put on weight.

Right now at FW, most of the top guys have shown plenty of weaknesses. A move up in weight is a good finincial move and not that big of a risk in the ring. The only thing is the opponent. Gradovich would be a good bet.

Yamanaka would love to fight him, he is the boxing superstar at 118

Hopefully Rigo team changes their mind...and Arum sees this as an opportunity to expand in Japan

Rigo can outbox anybody, any weight division. However, from 126+ he will get KTFO by any "lucky punch"

His team don't have patience to take smaller paydays at 112, 115, 118 to help establish Rigo as a legend, in 2 years at 126 he will be worth much more...fighting for his 5 division title if he must move up to 126, If he wants to be the next Longford great...just start at the lowest weight possible. Roman Gonzalez is a top 10 P4P he feels he can stop Rigondeaux...His record and domination in 3 divisions justifies that...Roman Gonzalez @112 is a bigger fight than anything in 126 for Rigo, because both are P4P elites
