Its pretty obvious Manny is the number one at the gym, Amir Khan second, and the rest kind of fall into place, so if you feel your more deserving, than that, you obviously wont be comfortable in such a situation.
But Rigondeaux, like most the cuban ams who turn professional, comes across as a real prima donna, and from a few ppl in the wild card gym, i've heard he doesnt like to put the work in.

Oh for Chrissakes... Rigo got away from Miami, a bad place for 100% career focus, joined the famous Wild Card and bigtime trainer Freddie Roach, got world class sparring and conditioning and now he's really complaning about lack of attention and rough sparring?

Bad news, even if there's no real injury, Roach criticizing his conditioning is just not what you wanna read. Pulling out of an HBO card (with DiBella supporting him 100%), is just wrong. Now I can understand that someone who wants to be a champ in 10 fights needs 100% trainer attention and I can imagine Roach only got time for about 40%. But still, it looked like a great team.

I'm pretty sure we're not getting all details so it's hard to comment if there might be something else, and the video of Rigo test training with Roger Mayweather and the rumors of the Moreno fight is definitely suspicious. But you just don't leave Roach unless there are real issues. Back to Miami? Well, good luck with that! I hope he'll end up training under Roger and will focus 100%, but I wouldn't bet large money on it.

thats not exactly true, at one time Roach was training 3 top fighters all at once, toney, vasquez and pacquiao

he divides his time with them.

even with pacquiao after the sparring and pad work he leaves him alone and lets the assistant (buboy) watch over while he trains others.

I'm not talking about back then, i'm talking about now, and i'm not only going by the fight camps, i'm going by who's corner he's likely to be in if the flight dates clash. And why shouldnt he be, Manny is the the p4p#1.

If you've got an over inflated opinion of urself like Rigundeux seems to have, then thats gotta hurt. Especially when its Amir Khan lol

Personally, I think it's a good move. Certain guys respond better in different kinds of gym environments & Rigo knows better than anyone else what he needs from a trainer due to him being around gyms his whole life & he probably felt that he wasn't getting it. If he goes to work with Roger then I think his style that he teaches will be more beneficial to Rigo.

Thats a Damn Shame. Roach could really take Gueirmo very far, poor decision to split.

You guys should perhaps not jump the gun all the time. You understand one thing from those few lines and others understand something else. Instead of Rigo being a primadonna, to me it's obvious that Rigo likes to run in a group for example and nobody was picking him up to run with the others. Sounds more like he was lonely than anything else. Perhaps due to language barriers?

On top, he didn't get as much attention as he wanted and he hasn't been going anywhere career-wise. In addition he was unhappy with his training (you could read this trough the lines for some time). If that's his opinion he must act on it.

It's perfectly fine to change trainer and noone should be called primadonna for it.
