This is a good move in all honesty, Freddy does Pay his top cash cows more attention a fighter like this though he has potential he will be set on the back burner and sometimes thats not good mentally for a fighter... I think its a smart move.

What I will say now will offend many " so called pro boxing fans " but here it goes anyways. Rigondeaux, just like all former Cuban amateur greats don't need any American Coach even less Roach who will teach him the " american style of boxing " which is terrible! The Cubans need Cuban coaches! Forget the Roaches, Mayweathers of the world!!! :-(

As a matter of fact, Rigondeaux should go look for Cuban trainer Ismael Salas ( Gamboa's coach ) and forget all the rest wannabe's. Rigondeaux is a one in a million talent that will defeat all 122, 126lbs of the World, WITHOUT ANY AMERICAN TRAINER ON HIS SIDE!!!

Just look at how Gamboa is looking and accomplishing as a pro, and absolutely no one talks nor knows Ismael Salas. The Cubans cannot work well with American coaches as #1, they have a major language problem, #2, they come from a very diferent boxing school in Cuba and #3, Cuban boxing is completely different than the rest of the World's boxing. Cuban boxing is built in hit, box, and don't get hit while the Americans and the rest have the other mentality of go forward, take a punch, brawl and defend. Good for Rigo, get away from that Roach, who was going to completely change Rigo into something that only God knows how good he was going to be in the pros !!!

For all the haters over here criticizing Rigondeaux let me tell you something. Rigondeaux is right, even though he is not expecting to be " pampered " at least he deserves more attention from Roach and his camp! Heck, what Rigo did in the amateurs no way in the World Pacquiao nor any other would had done, not even Mayweather. So with all respects, Rigondeaux reacted the right way, he is a star already and deserves the proper respect, training and enthusiasm that was not given to him!!!

If Casamayor would had never trained with Joe Goossen he would have had a way better professional career! Goossen changed Joel's Cuban boxing into the American defensive crap, that's why Joel lost those extra tight bouts against Freitas, Corrales and Castillo !!!

Dude Solis isn't doing ****. High ranking aside, his opposition isn't the same as Povetkin, Chambers, Pulev or Helenius.
