No he doesn't. Brook was an idiot who possibly shortened his career over a career high payday.

No he wasn't. Brook was going to have to fight Vargas for less than he got for Bizier because Vargas wanted so much money to sell the belt to Brook, then he would still be seen as too big a risk v reward for Haymon and Arum's biggest stars.

Brook went up and duked it out with Golovkin, now the big paydays are coming.

    Brook intelligence >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Your intelligence

    Much like

    Brook's guts >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rigo's guts

And if Brooks eye https://www.boxing247.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/1-O2ARENA-GOLOVKIN-BROOK-88.jpg is a factor the rest of his career and his career is shortened as a result of his injury, will you continue to think that signing to fight the hardest punching MW with barely any notice was the smartest thing to do?

Brook was a HUGE underdog. Brook had never fought anyone as strong or as accomplished as Ggg. Brook had never beat any world fighter above 147. Brook and his camp KNEW they were there to showcase Ggg. Brook and his camp had to have been smart enough that the odds were ALL against them, and that they were there as part of a greater scheme that did not include Brook after the fight was over. If you cannot see that it was a payday and nothing more than you intelligence should be the one in QUESTION.

It had everything to do with the payday, but I genuinely think Brook thought he was going to beat GGG. That said, it was bad management to put Brook(a WW) In with GGG especially knowing he was regarded as one of the best WW'S in the world AND Had great fights to look foward too against the other top WW'S. But I point the blame at GGG, he knew better.

I don't think he understands that an essential part of being described as a Matrix fighter is his ability to combine offence and defence into one, the way RJJ did, being many steps ahead of your opponent.

A boxer calling for catch-weight fights is usually more about publicity than a genuine offer in my view, especially after a high profile win by someone in and around their division. Rigo links his name to the flavour of the month and can blame Loma if the fight doesn't get made - 'I offered, he refused' - and tries to leach out a bit of free publicity. He probably also knows Loma's body is filling out as he nears his 30s and dropping back down below 130 would kill him; remember each pound of weight means so much more in the lower weight divisions. Basically, what took me three sentences I could have said in three words... 'doing a Golovkin'
