Id say Rigondeaux stops him late. Caseys tough but i cant see him taking rigos best shot fro the whole fight. Hes going to get worn down and stoped in the late rounds imo.
Its not coming in if it went from 4/9 to 1/2. That means the odds on Rigo are actually getting bigger, as 4/9=1/2.25 which is shorter than 1/2. I thought Rigo would have been 1/6 and Casey about 7/2 or 4/1 if I'm honest
never underestimate casey, his family and him have a lot of fighting pride, he can punch and take one, very strong at the weight, the cuban is fast very good boxer, but brittle, like frenkel with enzo, casey knows wots needed to win, he'll pressure the cuban out of his game, for a late stoppage, after scoring a knockdown or 2 along the way.:think:good:good
Why is he fighting Casey, and fighting him in Ireland? Has this got something to do with the deal for the Cuban amatuers going pro in Ireland and the dispute over promotional rights?
I love a good punt on boxing but something tells me not to bet on this! There is something very tempting about putting a big bet on Rigo but I keep getting this nagging feeling that there is something unpredictable about this fight!
the one unpredictable is the cubans tash, casey has power, wich is rare for fighters as light as himself, good fight though, and i hope he pulls it off.:good
I wish Casey the best, but Rigo's style means he's in for a punishing night. He's going to be eating counters, whilst finding it difficult to find the target.
casey is made for rigo , think rigo lands a big uppercut in the first 3 and casey gets knocked out , although i hope im wrong
To be fair I'd be more worried if he was being all nice and respectful. Then you'd know it was a mismatch and Rigo was trying to build the fight. It does seem a tall order for Casey though. But hell, anything can happen in boxing.
Gary Hyde is Rigondeaux's manager and he always wanted him to fight in Ireland. No better time to do it than when he's a ''world'' champion fighting an Irishman.
I can see the temptation, but I'd be reluctant to put a big bet on Rigondeaux. He will probably win but I don't think this is going to be plain sailing. Anyone who makes a big punt on this could be in for some tense nerve racking viewing. Rigondeauz is one of the best amateurs of all time and that will really stand to him as he is a novice professional the same as Casey. It will be interesting to see how he copes with the crowd on March 19th. Fighting Casey in Dublin in front of 7000 Casey fans will be like nothing he's ever experienced before. Casey will be relentless with pressure and if he manages to unsettle Rigo anything could happen. Casey will have to be on top form to cause an upset and his talent will be under the microscope but so too will Rigo's reserve.
