This kind of stuff will make people hate Rigondeaux. Sweet Pea is the one FAR better.

    for reals...

out of all the 24985734897549857 cubans that they made a huge fit about, only one so far has really almost crossed on over to being a big name....the rest will probably fall short due to their boring ass styles.......

cuban fans need to understand that the amateur system is way different from the pros, and gold medals aint gonna get you into the spotlight if you keep stinking up the joint.......

Yeah, but I think the problem is Rigondeaux's level of opposition. They're putting journeymen in with a 2-time Olympic gold medalist with over 400 fights. The dudes just go in there to survive. The fact that Rigondeaux is able to KO guys who are only throwing 10 punches per round is an indication that he'll be an exciting fighter when he's put in with people who aren't terrified of him.

I understand you find Rigo is boring,Mexico doesnt understand that kind of science.Gamboa is more to be accepted by mexicans. But the science of Rigo-the science of hit and dont get hit-like PBF,Pernell etc, its not the kind of boxing they understand in Mexico.I'm not saying this out of disrespect to mexicans. Its just a different science of boxing. We'll see how Rigo performs against the next level.
I dont jump into conclusions here,i dont say he is better or worse than sweet Pea.He still has a lot to show. But the fundamentals of his style so far looks great to me.

Ppl has short memory, Sweet pea was a boring fighter with almost no power punching at all, he used throw 20 punches a round and win ion defense (he was a magician at that). A least Rigo has ko 5 out six so far, and d bum mexibum that some ppl are talking about, went d distance with the current WBC Champ Vazquez JR. I guess everyone has an opinion but please when you became a critic state facts, don't pull $h1T out of your A$$. And that european guy, I had already answer u about you main 3 guys.

I don't get why this is great news, that card isn't until November 13. Rigondeaux is going to turn 30 before then. He should be having at least three or four fights before then. I don't get why a guy this talented yet who was not able to turn pro until 28 is not getting more fights . Even if it's against bums like he's been fighting, he could at least be fighting these bums often. How is he ever going to be able to move up in the ranks if he never fights? He's being managed terribly and it's a real shame because I feel like he has the talent and skillset to be one of (if not the) top fighters in the sport. His best years are passing him, he needs to start taking more fights.

Rigondeaux is such a fluid boxer with all the tools and skills to be a great PRO! From the looks of his last fight it seems as though he's shedding some of those AM habits and really has made some great progress since his last fight. Of course he wasn't facing anyone that pose any kind of real threat but none of his opponents has thus far and his last performance was his best overall I think.

Mayweather is a defensive wizard and he is arguably the most popular fighter in the world right now (possibly with the exception of Pac).

Pea was a very FLASHY guy outside the ring and that translated with his style in it. how many DEFENSIVE MINDED fighters made their style exciting like Whitaker? I can't think of anther fighter off the top. I know you aren't gonna say Floyd that's for sure. Guillermo is becoming more exciting and I really think he's shown a lot of progress even since his last fight. I think he's becoming more offensive minded and he has the tools to be a force offensively. he just has to use it.
