Gamboa was already champ at 16 fights... what notes should he take?and already unified 2 titles...notes?
the diference is that Gamboa is been already fighting for 3 yrs...and he is younger than rigo....rigo doesnt have a choice.
but believe it or not, Rigo is more talented than gamboa, so is gonna catch up soon.

Come on now who did he beat for those titles? Name me one of Gamboa's opponents that made you go "oh shiit now that's a step up in class!".

Good guess! No, I meant Ponce De Leon vs. Escalante. Was one of the most exciting match-ups of the year on paper.
Get the hell out with this P4P king ****, $55 PPVs should be for high caliber entertaintment not high caliber beatdown, it's a disgace 'world title fight', and you know it. While I do hope inside Margarito will put on Cottoesque performance in which case Pac's in trouble, I just don't see it happening in 2010. Roach turned down weak Yuri Foreman, but took on Margarito? Please label me the fighter who once was a lethal 12-round no-nonsense punching machine but is now less dangerous than Yuri Foreman!

Now Rigo-Cordoba is something to look forward to, plus it seems Golovkin is on the card, so if he fights a live one and HBO picks it up, it'll be a card considering. But at the current state of the show, it might just end up with 4 blowouts for $55, and I have the vision to see all the anged posts of how such of a rip-off this PPV was. Mosley-Mora at least had one FOTY potential on the card.

Well, compare Gamboa's opposition to Cordoba. I'd put Cordoba ahead of Salida even.

Mind you, I'm not unhappy with Gamboa's matching, I think it's fine (although his time has come now, they should let him take care of business).

I believe Gamboa has been learning in the process of increasing the quality of his opponents. He should be ready now for the big names.Next i say John,Rojas or Caballero.. we know Arum doesnt want him any close to Lopez yet.
Rigo, if he beats Cordoba and he should.. then..who is next? I'd say Wilfredo Vazquez Jr for a title?

But Rigondeaux isnt some ordinary prospect who tuns pro at 20 - he's a hugely experienced boxer with phenomenal speed and technical ability. He's also far older than most prospects, so things need to move faster.

We know Cordoba is ready for the full twelve so I hope Rigo is too.

I don't think fighting Cordoba is stupid per sé, but if this was his (Rigo's) management's plan al along his previous opponents should've been better.

Neither. He beat Cab and lost a SD to Poonsawat.
