Rigondeaux training with Roger Mayweather (LAst Week)

i think rigondeaux is still training with roach, he's just going around picking up new things from other coaches.

 

It's just taking him a little time to get the routines memorized. He'll get it eventually.

 

I don't think it will help him to the extent that he will replace Roach. Against a good right hander, the shoulder roll stance might hurt him. His defense and punch selection is already outstanding, so other than the uppercut counter to the bodyshots, I can't see him using too much of the other Mayweather moves.

 

You could do a lot worse than Roger Mayweather. He definitely knows his ****!

 

Makes sense. No knock on Roach's skill, but he is not a counter puncher's trainer. I always thought he would be better off under Mayweather's wing.

 

yeah but of all coaches/trainers out there, he went with a mayweather? doesn't add up. team pac is basically led by roach and i'm sure his voice is what convinced pac to sue the mayweathers. don't they hate each other? or at least pretend there's animosity?

 

True. This is strange. Friends or not, on a professional respect level I don't think a top trainer could allow fighters to "flutter" between the two top training camps in the boxing game.

There might be something going on at the Wild Card. I could see FMJ paying the hell out of Rig just to throw a ****** wrench in Roach's world. :yep

Rigondeaux is an undercover WCIA (Wild Card Intelligence Agency) agent gathering data for the September Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. Rumors say Rigo was able to get some of Floyd's DNA off Roger's pads with his gloves and Top Rank is already cloning a weakened version for sparring partner (codename "Joan Guzman").

He was working on specific responses to specific situations. Even I know that. See how he starts by touching him on the side?

 

doubtful. Roach's record speaks for itself and he's a better trainer than Roger in every facet of the game. Although Roger is a good trainer, this is probably just a case of Roach being too busy, so Rigo is using Roger Mayweather as a filler while Roach is busy with Khan.

We'll see in the future who Rigo goes with, cause now he's tried both.

I don't think a trainer on that level would let you train at a rival camp. Especially with the history between the two. I really wonder if Roach will want him back.

Roach let PBF train in his gym when he was training for the Hatton fight. At that point he already hated Roger Mayweather.
