Rigo left Roach and trains now with Roger Mayweather....I think it's a very good move..since Rigo is an exceptional fighter with the punching power that just few could have. Rigo is a Champion...I can see nobody beating him.

Rigo is heading for greatness and if he's not gonna be with Roach, Roger is pretty much the next best thing.

Wait, did he officially join Roger? There were pics of him and Roger doing mittwork, but no official announcement, and the last update Thursday was that he went back to Florida and is still looking for a trainer.

I think his reasons for leaving Roach is rather childish. You dont need someone to run with, talk about being babied as a prize fighter.

But with all biases aside I think Roger's style would fit Rigo better than Roach since Rigo is a counterpuncher. Also Roger needs other hallmark fighter's to establish that he is an elite trainer because as far as im concerned right now he is just a product of Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Please know the difference between trainers. Ricky was not trained by Roger.

would be interesting if rigo would be willing to serve as floyd's sparring partner in case he needs to train for pac. i'm not saying rigo is on pac's level but his speed might be.

This was a STUPID STUPID move. Roach is the best trainer. Who the hell has Roger trained besides people who lose, like Hatton?

Wasn't it Floyd Sr who trained Hatton?

Two completely different style fighters. Rigo is technically superior to Pacquiao and only Floyd compares really, but in terms of speed and power nobody compares to Pacquiao. Pacquiao is a lot like a Roy Jones Jr type fighter who punches from odd angles and does not have to follow fundamentals.

Still I think this was a incredibly bad move by Rigo to switch to the Mayweathers. I think it might be because Roach wanted Rigo to become more aggressive, which I agree is in his best interest. The Mayweathers really don't have anything they can teach him because hes already as good of a defensive fighter as Floyd if not better.

Anyway this move makes no sense. Roach has many good fighters like Khan, Pacquiao, but what champion has Roger ever trained to prove to me he can train?

Pacquiao improved a lot under Roach. I guess Rigo is letting the hype get to his head and thinking he has nothing left to learn, but thats completely wrong. Maybe he wants to spar with Mayweather but again thats not going to teach him to become more aggressive because Mayweather isn't even as aggressive as the current Rigo.

What can Roger teach him? Besides how to hype a fight and sell tickets?
