Rigo is an excellent fighter but it's hard to get excited for a 34 year old that only fights twice a year. Maybe I'd feel different if he had more than 14 fights. Still like him though.

We knew Rigondeaux wouldn't get any big fights but going into the year would you be satisfied with defenses against Sod Kokietgym and Hisashi Amagasa?

Not to hate on the news or anything. I'm actually mildly excited about it and glad for all parties involved I guess. Rigondeaux fighting is better than Rigondeaux not fighting. It would be kinda awkward if Amagasa wins and becomes lineal champ, huh? Upset of the Year that would be, no question.

Also, Hot Asian Santa Claus chick is Hot Asian Santa Claus chick...!

His fight against Sod was good because it meant that Arum was finally out of the picture.
Amagasa presents a possible market for Rigo. He might start fighting regularly in Japan like Gonzales and who knows, maybe they could meet one day. :think

    Woah now.

Roman is a wee lad in comparison. It would be his 6th division of competition.

But yes, I'm glad Arum is out of the way now without question and I'm in favor of activity so I didn't want to sound like a big hater.

It would not be as big of a stretch as it sounds.
Last i heard Rigo was 124 in the ring. That fool could theoretically make 112 without too much trouble.
And Roman look like he weighs more than just 112 pounds. I imagine that they are both actually quite equal in weight but Rigo would have the height advantage.
A somewhat possible fight if the both continue their winning ways for years to come.
Roman mentioned another jump in weight a few months back :bbb

Plenty of fighter at 122 for Rigondeaux over here. Fight with Wake was spoken about and the Oguni/Ishimoto winner be good too. In year he could have Uebayashi, Omori, Kuga, Sakamoto.

People from Philippines could make for good fight with fight like Servania, Pagara
