HBO has an April 10 date for a fight with Guillermo Rigondeaux and Celestino Caballero for the WBA super batamweight title. This is all according to Caballero's representative, Sampson Lewkowicz, who reported it to the newspaper, Panama America. Fight is to happen at Madison Square Garden, New York City.:good

    Wow...this will be great!

Rigondeaux surely needs to step up in competion and this is a HUGE jump!

If he beats Caballero convincingly it will spark the eyes of the boxing world immediately!

Rigondeux beats him. Caballero is vastly overrated, so despite his physical advantages and pro experiance, I think he loses comfortably.

Wow. that's a ****ing HUGE jump in opposition. I doubt this happens, but if it does, I would be amazed. It basically means he would immediaely be elite-echelon and being old wouldn't matter.

they offered the fight at 124

not sure about the finer points of the deal...

Looks like rigo might head down south to 118to pick up a strap or two

think its more to do with picking up a strap at that weight then cleaning 122

    then 126

its all about this multi weight shite nowadays

Im sure it would be easier to make the fight with pelenchin if he would stay at 122..

Rigo fought at 119 and a 1/2 Last night and looked pretty good to me, I like the idea of 118,122 and 126 It will look damn good next to all his amateur achievement's!

all this talk of a 5 fight pro easily going to be a 3 weight world champion seems absurd???
