Just saw that this fight was made.
Why is Rigo fighting a dude ranked no 74 on boxrec. Rigo is no 1 in his division and is no 5 p4p
I understand that Rigo is not only a difficult style but also has a habit of stinking up the joint. But a 74 rank opponent?
I mean surely they could find someone in the top 25 to put him in with?
Rigo career is in shambles. He got the donaire win and that seems to be it. Unless frampton or quit winner wants it

Gets him on a big UK card. Whilst a different promoter, raises his profile here and gets more people talking about whether the winner of Quigg Frampton will duck him

Suspect Wazza is paying him well - I know a lot of people wanting to go because Rigo is on the bill

He is coming to the UK to fight a British guy in his own hometown.

While the opponent is not very good, the point of this fight is important, which proves that Rigondeaux is ready and willing to chase Frampton/Quigg down even if it means coming to their own territory to fight them.

It would be really shameful if Frampton/Quigg continued to run away and hide despite Rigo coming in their own backyard.
