Hopefully this is just a precursor to a December bout with Mares (no way Donaire).

At this rate I'd be satisfied with the winner or loser of Marquez/Vasquez. But GB has been talking that they'd be willing to make a deal with Top Rank for Mares to fight Donaire, so maybe Rigo too?

Their sitting on him as an investment. If they grow him too fast, then they'll have face pressure to match him with what they feel is more marketable Donaire.

Maybe because Rigo just can't draw any fans. He needs to be built-up more.

    Not everyone has drawing power.

He has the skills and decent enough personality he could draw a decent crowd with some promotion behind him. Top Rank has put no effort into marketing him or Gamboa in Miami (well atleast before the failed Rios fight with Gamboa anyways).

Irony, as soon as he was being pushed for a big fight he tries to bolt out of TR.

As for Rigo, he should just wait, maybe just maybe, he'll get his time

He has 2 undercard PPV features already.

He was being robbed by Oner and as soon as another lawyer saw his contract and gave him advice, he took matter into his own, so many we're saying that his career was fuk and that he would be on the shell for a long time, guess waht? He is a free agent, beside he sent another Cuban to do the job and Rios got exposed big time so please enough with that fight.
