Not. The worst amateurs at the Olympics are 5 times better than any pro journeyman. There are plain horrible Pro boxers to look at! Just because they are " pros " don't mean they are great as I have seen some pro boxers who seem to have decided one day to become boxers, practice for a couple of weeks, don't even bother getting in shape and start fighting. Bro, there are really bad pro boxers who are absolutely horrible to watch! When have you seen " overweight boxers " at the Olympics like in the pros?

At the World amateur level at least everyone has a " good technical level " and keep in great physical shape. Bums like those horrible pros that I have seen would never been allowed to participate at any world amateur tournament!

Do you want to see a great amateur fight that will showcase the best possible talents? Today: Vasyl Lomachenko ( UKR ) vs Yasnier Toledo ( CUB ), incredible boxers! ;)

Many pros would simply love to be either one of these two fighters!

And then you got guys like Rigondeaux, Gamboa, Hernandez, Lara etc... that are kicking professional a$$, if you have what it take to be great you have it, if on top of that you have a great base as amateur that could only help, if not just find out how many professionals has done and face the kind of competition Rigondeaux has with only 10 fights...

I don't think there are many names around to be honest, other than Donaire who I would probably agree doesn't have Rigondeaux at the top of his 'to fight' list. It's gonna be hard for Rigondeaux to establish a resume in what is really a pretty weak era for this division.

There's plenty on here who are utter ******s. Some are not, however, but a good few are.

Agreed, but there lies the problem only one or two good fights left for him and Donaire has going out of his way to excuse himself from this fight and Mares is with GBP, what could he do? He is 5'4" and moving up is one of options or he could go down to 118, but who is there?
