If an average fighter like Cordoba can knock down Rigo, I can't imagine what lanky fighter with sharp jabs would do to Rigo.

Lol , that was more of a slip than a legit KD , you phillipines monkeys crack me up , ¿ why don't you show Rigo's LEGIT KD of Cordoba ? , Rigo took a LEGIT former champ to school in only his 7TH fight , and mind you Cordoba IS A BETTER BOXER than Mathebula , Rigo would have killed Mathebula in 3 rounds and would have giving us a much better show than Donaire , he would have KD Mathebula in numerous ocasions during those 3 round and would have KO him at the end . Nonito went the distance with such a limited fighter , pathetic , he's just another inflated COWARD , that's all .

No sweetheart , you haven't missed a thing , it's just that for the first time there's a REAL contender in the game , a guy who ducks no one and with real boxing skills , a guy who had a ESPECTACULAR amateur career ( P4P #1 ) and won everything , from TWO Olympic golds to World Championships and who's pro career is also developing brilliantly , a guy that always takes care of bussiness in expectacular fashion ( pro or am ) and who became a champion in his 9th fight , a guy who with only 10 bouts has the entire 122 division ( and probably the 126 also ) shitting their pants and making excuses . If Donaire really wants to be recognized by the fans as a legit P4P he HAS to fight Rigondeaux , period .

 

The clip doesn't show Rigo's feet , watch it again properly on YouTube and you'll see it , Rigo was off balance when Cordoba threw the punch .

 

¿ Rigo looked like crap ? , ¿ wich fight did you watch ? , Rigo TOYED with Lante all night long , even Lante's manager said so after the fight , he said that he was very impressed by the way Rigo handled Lante . GTFOH .

 

You can't see his feet in that? SERIOUSLY? Rigo comes forward to get punch and gets clipped. No other way to look at that objectively. But then again, some of you guys have given up the pretense of being objective when it comes to anything Cuban.

 

Mathebula isn't a particularly good boxer, at least in a technical sense, but he's a tough guy and he proved that a boxer, no matter how good, probably isn't going to take him out with a one and done approach to a fight.

Personally, I don't think Rigo would even try for an early KO. He'd simply lay back, target the rib cage with the left, and wait for Math to fall off balance before shifting his attack upstairs. He might drop Math a couple of times, but I don't see him stopping someone who is as awkward and tough as the South African.

 

It was a legit kd, though very much of the "flash" variety. Cordoba's the type of guy who can flash a lot of fighters, though because he times his punches pretty well and his punching technique is quite sound.

Not sure if we can read that much into Rigo's punch resistance based on that.

 

I'm just disputing the slip and you can't see the feet in that clip posted. It's pretty clear and just because you don't see the feet in ONE angle of two ..... :roll: doesn't mean you can't see the feet. I'm just extra annoyed at stupidity today so I guess I have to get my share out.
