That's not his am record. He had something like 400 fights and 10 losses with 2 olympic golds so he's up there.
An even better amateur imo is Vasyl Lomachenko, over 300 fights with only 1 loss that he avenged, olympic gold and maybe another one in London.
Look out for him when he turns pro, he'll be as big as Mayweather or Pac in a few years.

 

Dam he is sharp, i rekon he would defeat Billy Dib and Will Tomilson on the same night, huge comparison compared to the fighters AUS produces. Its a simple case of you are what you eat. This guy has had quality opponents and it shows. Cant wait to see more of his fights.

 

Boxing is there life from a early age. Kids either play base ball orbox. In Australia our kids have lots of choices with sport also our small population does not help with level of comp.

 

i thought the other bloke wobbled him in a wild exchange in the 2nd or 3rd. he seems a bit open in exchanges and is open to right hands as a slow mo showed.

hes impressive, but at the top level, any fault will be exposed.

interesting that he lost once at about 300 and some thing fights but lost another 9 in the other 100 or less. level of competition cause these losses? getting punchy? or wear and tear?

 

When he detracted it was slightly disappointing at first but then the boxing brain kicked in, stoked to see the Cubans ripping it up in the pros. Lomachenko seems like a sure thing, future p4p #1
