It seems Guillermo Rigoneaux's legal troubles are over so one of the finest amateurs of the sport now can concentrate on his pro boxing career. He has a 3-year deal under Top Rank and will return on August 21 against TBA. He also moved away from Miami and joins Erislandy Lara to train under Ronnie Shields in Houston. I would've preferred Rigo fighting for DiBella under Roach but at least with Ronnie he'll have a full-time trainer still far away from the party life of Miami. Let's not have illusions: Rigo is turning 30 this September and there's no room for any more setbacks and conflicts, with everything settled, the Jackal now must focus 100% on his pro career while he's in his prime.
Ah Ronnie Shields, master of the ''use your hands'', ''punch him with your hands' and ''you gotta use your hands''
