4 years and flyweight to featherweight opponent. Yes, Loma's gonna smack that head back in the shell.
Should be a good fight. Rigo's head looks like a turtle, did anyone else notice that? Lomachenko weighed-in at only 129, means he trained for this fight very hard, but then, he always trains hard. Lomachenko's stamina is awesome, he never gets out of breath. I think the big difference will be the angles, legs/footwork, movement, defense, offense, punch output, Lomachenko is always busy, Rigo is fast, good fighter, but he doesn't have the footwork and angles of Lomachenko, not a busy fighter, his inactivity is not good for this fight. You never know in boxing, but I have to pick Lomachenko, still, I am not psychic! However, everyone thinks that Rigo is the biggest puncher P4P in boxing and that Lomachenko has zero power......................Rigo has shown a shaky chin, if he gets hit he will go down, Rigo fans underestimate Lomachenko's power, timing, distance, etc., plus he has been busy lately...............I don't like to pick the winner of a fight before the fight, but I can't see Lomachenko losing unless he runs into a left hand, all Rigo seems to really have offensively is his left hand, Lomachenko has more than just a left hand......................this is interesting to think about, I think Lomachenko is being underestimated, too many claim Lomachenko can't fight, is a fraud...............he is not..............Don't think Rigo think Lomachenko is a fraud, he knows better and Lomachenko said he is not underestimating him...................Age and inactivity? Not sure how that will affect Rigo, we will not know until the fight starts, probably not until the last rounds.............Will the extra weight affect Rigo? Will it help or hinder him? So many unknowns..................do not expect Lomachenko to fight Rigo like Donaire as Donaire is not in the same class as Lomachenko nor Gary Russell, nor Walters................
Both Walters and Russell would have beaten Donaire............. I just noticed that the orginal date for this thread was for the Donaire fight not the Lomachenko fight................Zak was correct, Rigo did get knocked down...................Rigo has been down a few times............
Given Rigo previous trips to the canvas, I'd say it's highly likely this fight ends in a brutal stoppage.
Thanks man! Expresses my worldview well! But so what do you think about this fight? Think those fragile whiskers will be shattered, or does this overrated Cuban lose a wide UD?
