Donaire that's it all the rest are bums.. and people talk about Golovkins resume haha,... GGG's resume is far far better than Rigos
let me get it right...you are trying to defend a fighter from his haters by...hating on another fighter?...mkey.
not really but GGGS resume gets talked about as being poor all the time whereas no one hardly ever talks about Rigos resume, when its extremely weak
Yep true but as Paulie M said don't throw that one at me about his resume as you can't drug people to get em in the ring with him,he was talking about GGG but it holds true for Rigo. If you add Frampton,Quigg and Santa Cruz to his resume as guys who were in his weight class and stayed clear of him all of a sudden his resume looks better,I know it doesn't work out that way but I think it should do,either that or they should be made to kiss their opponents feet or in Canelos case give away the lineal belt away?
Donaire was top 5 p4p Lemieux - Not even top 30 Murray - Not even top 50 Rubio - Not even top 70 Brook - Wrong division so doesnt count
You have separated Donaire from the so called "bums", yet Rigondeaux made him look exactly like the mentioned "bums". In fact, that was so frightening to some people that Frampton, Santa Cruz and Quigg swore to never ever step in the same ring as Rigondeaux.
His resume isn't terrible, it's just hard for him to lock up fights with the big name guys because none of them want to fight him. It didn't look like Mares, Santa Cruz, Frampton or the likes wanted anything to do with him before they all moved up in weight. In fact, a couple of those guys openly admitted they don't think they could beat him in interviews but they'd still give it a shot. What can he do- the guy doesn't have the most fan-friendly style and none of the top guys are willing to fight him. He's been the quintessential high risk-low reward fighter for the past couple years. Think about it, since beating Donaire he's actually had to fight guys in Japan, China and in the UK. I don't know too many champions that are willing to fight in the oppositions' backyard for every fight yet still can't coax the top guys to get in the ring with him. He's an incredible talent, especially on a technical level, and it's disappointing to see his final years as a pro go to waste from inactivity and lack of elite competition.
switch it to how many of GGGs opponents were top 10 middleweights compared to how many top 10 super bantams RIgo has fought and its a different story Golovkin - Lemeiux, Murray, Brook, Macklin, Geale Rigondeaux - Donaire and nobody worth even mentioning!
Rigo suffers the same problem as GGG - step into the ring with them and you'll likely lose... badly, but there's no seven-figure pay check to make it worth their opponent's while. Boxing is a business and both Rigo and GGG score highly on the boxing side but are strictly journeymen when it comes to the business part. Well, their managers are more's to the point.
I know the top fighters weren't queuing up to fight Rigondeaux, but he seems to do absolutley everything is his power to make sure those fights doesn't happen. - Signs with Roc Nation so it rules out fights against anyone with Top Rank or PBC. - Purposley has a stinker on the Cotto-Canelo undercard to ensure American TV wash their hands of him. - A grown man forgets he needs a work permit to fight overseas which left promoters rolling their eyes - Gets offered the Jamie McDonnell fight on the Brook-GGG undercard with a view to build to a fight with Quigg if he wins- fights Jazza Dickens then declares himself a Boxnation fighter. - When Frampton was mandated to fight him, says he wasn't budging on the 55/45 despite Frampton being a massive draw and ensuring Frampton would've made more money fight Shingo Wake for 75/22 - Turns down Lomachenko fight - Doesn't bother to learn English.
The word filter blocks out Dickens not because it's offensive but because it's an affront to the sport his name if even typed out on a boxing forum...
Rigo yes triple G no. Triple G has been getting $1.75MM plus for the past 2 years to fight bums and Kell Brook.
Sorry, I meant the pay days his opponents get. Or don't get. Kel Brook aside, I'd be surprised if any GGG opponent made life-changing money, and I think this is why he is 'ducked'. Sign to fight him and it might lead to a career ending beating, but why would you sign and take that risk without banking a pension fund? Now if GGG generated pay days just a quarter of those Mayweather earned for his opponents, he'd having them queuing round the block to sign. It's all down to risk/reward: too high a risk, too low a reward. Rigo is another matter, his style and personality simply don't sell, period.
Rigo beat Donaire when he was the king of the lower weights, so to me that win is better than any single win on Loma's record right now, and GGGS.
well, he's trash talking race card on lomachenko, so you can add that to his resume'. that will earn him some points.
