I agree with it. Because IMO Manny performend better against Bradley than Mayweather did against Cotto.

That number one spot is definetly up for grabs, but IMO Mayweather hasn't done enough to take it back either.

Mayweather has proven both over his dominant career (cracked P4P top 10 in 1998 and hasn't left) and his recent continued dominance (W's over Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto in the past 27 months) that he is the majority consensus P4P king. THE RING is the only big publication not to come to this realization.

PAC either lost to Marquez or Bradley, if you want to be official bradley should be 2 if you want to be real marquez is 2

There is no decent argument to not have mayweather as 1

That's your oppinion, but it doesn't change the fact that they DID adjust Pacquiao's rating relative to Mayweather after his last two fights. It's all childish bull**** anyway - if those guys want to be number one, they can fight each other and find out.

Mayweather's performance against Cotto wasn't any better than Pac's against Bradley. Bradley is actually higher ranked than Cotto. Ring Mag's ranking acknowledges that.

As for the Marquez fight it was an extremely close fight. Marquez is a stylistic nightmare for Pac, a great fighter himself, and put in an incredible performance.

Marquez and Bradley are ranked 6 and 8 respectively on the p4p list and after Mayweather are the highest ranked fighters around Pac's weight.

    Cotto is not top 10.

Some of the Ring ratings make no sense, Donaire no4 P4P but isn't even number 1 in his own divison. John Murray ranked n5 at LW even though he lost his last 2 by KO.

Was he dropped AFTER the Marquez fight? If they didn't drop him after getting schooled by Juan, he is protected

Then he drops obviously, By then Martinez may have beat Chavez which would and could easily put him at #1 Ward is lurking as well.... Both Ward and Martinez has fought and beat all there is in their divison.
While Floyd and Manny have been picking the low hanging fruit....
