Nice to see after ruining the credibility of their divisional belts, they're doing dumb stuff like this to make silly P4P rankings even sillier. Don't let anyone ever try to tell you anything Ring ranking-related carries any credibility ever again.

Hopefully, but I am aware it won't, this will force the two contenders to fight it out.

Pacquiao has been losing points lately whereas Floyd gained a lot in one fight.

Pac arguably got beat by Marquez and looked poor. The same Marquez that Maywether barely lost 30 seconds to. Also floyd was going up in weight, PAC was going up however Cotto was coming down at the same time.

On the real though, how can you not have Floyd #1?
Beat Ortiz (#2 Welter) Mosley (Champion, #1 welter) and now Cotto (champion, #1 Junior Middle)

Pac has beaten Margarito (unranked) Mosley (#4 welter) Clottey (#6 welter) and just lost or BARELY beat unranked Marquez.

They're waiting on how Pac fares against Bradley...since in all liklohood Pac will wipe the floor with Bradley, one can assume that spot is reserved for Pac. A grind it out affair with Cotto don't do Mayweather any favors....jus saying *****s, don't attack me coz im on a tablet and can't properly clown u guys.

These rankins are ******ed. It's run by a bunch of people with short term memory loss.
Pac beats 2-3 good opponents while Mayweather is retired (along with all his other acheivements), and he becomes P4P #1. Mayweather comes back, and is immediately #2 again... Whatever. Mayweather beats Marquez and some people put him back at 1? Mayweather beats an old Mosley, and more people put him at 1? Mayweather beats Ortiz and almost everybody puts him at 1?
Meanwhile Pac is still beating up giants compared to him.
He has bad night with marquez (which anybody who doesn't have an agenda, isn't mexican, and doesn't hate Pac can agree he pulled out the victory. Close as heck, but he won).
One bad night for Pac (and still a win) drops him to #2, and a decent win for Mayweather skyrockets him to the heavens. Now, Floyd struggles and he seemingly gets dropped. Pac will come in and obliterate Bradley (who is a pretty good fighter, but outgunned) and people jump back on his bandwagon, and call him P4P #1 (those without an agenda).
I think pac is P4P #1, and never deserved to lose rank. As soon as Pac rolls over Bradley (no matter what people think of him) they'll rank him up there again. Short-term-memory-loss people.

Puga will have a way to turn it round, however I don't see how he could even think about arguing against it.

3 of Floyd's last 4 opponents have been ranked top 10 in the world by either Ring, ESPN, or S.I.

Furthermore, Floyd has not fought and unranked opponent since 2005. Everyone has been ranked 1-3 in their division and/or 1-10 in the world.

Pac fought a #6 WW Mosley and an unranked cheating Margarito. Those are facts.

Mosley was also not even a top 10 lb 4 lb when Pacquiao fought him.

Floyd is number 1 P4P. He should have been number 1 when Manny lost to Marquez.
