Seeing some of the fights from the sixties recently made me appreciate one of the ring announcers; Johnny Addie. Some of the ones today with all of the theatrics just don't do it for me. Keeping ity simple and straight to the point is more to my liking. Jimmy Lennon Sr. was a good one as well. The guy that used to do the announcing at the Boston Garden fights used to amuse me with his Boston accent.Who were some of your favorite ring announcers?
