Great fight anyone who bashes it isn't a fan of the sport.:deal Ortiz was a huge 140 pound fighter anyway he was outgrowing the division and only had at the most 2 fights left there and already said he was moving up. I can't wait for this one.

good matchup. the only thing i dont like about it is that both of them have unfinished buisness IMO.

Berto should rematch collazo. convincinly beat him so u dont gotta fight him a 3rd time.
    Ortiz should rematch peterson .

other then that i dont have a problem. if ortiz wants to move up n go right for the best fighter instead of having a couple of legit fights b4 then thats his decision. IMO i think ortiz should have to work his way up in the division . maybe fight a carlos abregu or a malanaggi.

Rumor this morning that HBO isn't too interested in the fight and aren't putting up a lot of money for this.

wtf! Ortiz is not even a 147 pounder. Ayadin is his mandatory fight, why not fight him. A Bum Berto cherry picking his opponent.

I like this fight a lot and hope it gets made. Ortiz is a big 140 pounder and Berto is a smaller welterweight so I don't think size is going to be an issue here at all. Actually, I think Ortiz may be a bit taller and most of his last fights Ortiz has weighed in as a welterweight. I would have prefered Cintron as an opponent but I like Ortiz more than Bailey. I don't know where this leaves Aydin and I think it would be wise for Berto to keep his title instead of being stripped. I see Berto beating Ortiz but its a good match up.

Berto is cleaning up the 140 lb division.

Exactly! Maybe not a bad fight, but personally, fight a friggin TPO WW already!!

This fight does nothing to put him in the front for a mega fight w/ the stars. Nothing.

WHo gives a **** if Ortiz has a WW body. Has he beaten any top WW's? Nope.

Or how many top JrWW's has he beaten? Zero. None. No wins at 140 vs. anyone who was making noise.

Who paid off who so Berto doesn't have to fight his mandatories? It's 2 years now.

Berto ducked Cintron. Berto = Fraud

The top guys won't fight him, and IMO if this is at Staples Center it will be huge.
