Cintron would be better but aside from him, not too many better defences available.

If he was willing to travel khan would be perfect.

But ortiz is a decent fight. One I look forward to seeing!

He's fought over the JrWw limit several times. But he has not a single win at WW that matters. Not to mention, his biggest wins at JrWW is Anroutis. Yep, that's who Berto wants to fight. A JrWW with no big wins at 140 or 147.

WHo say are supposed to? Guess what, the top guys at WW won't fight Ortiz either. Or Cintron. Or Williams. Or Lamont Peterson. Or JMM. Or Randall Bailey. Or Saul Alvarez. And?

Why are the top guys obligated to fight Berto when Berto has NOT seperated himself from the rest of the pack?

I just hope Berto mans up and fights a Cintron. Because right now, Berto is starting to look pretty badly and like he might be worried he cannot win. But the ting is, it's a winnable fight for Berto.

I don't know what people are bitching about???

Corrales moved from 135 to fight Clottey at 147.
Jones moved up from 175 to fight Ruiz at HW.
Mosley moved up from 135 to fight DLH at 147.
Mayorga moved up from 147 to fight Tito at 160.

So your bitching because Berto is fighting a former Jr. WW who has outgrown the 140 division, but you want Berto (a WW) to fight a huge Jr. MW????

    :patsch

There is time to be brave and prove the critics wrong and there is time to be smart.....I understand Berto-Ortiz from Berto's POV.

He's likely going to face Pac and get 5 mil if both win on their next fight.
