Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" seems to be a common entrance theme for a ton of athletes (such as Ray Lewis or Kevin Garnett). I know Mosley and Taylor used this theme before too, so are there any other boxers that have done so as well?
why the **** do basketball players need entrance music for? (i'm assuming garnett is a basketball player)
Bowe used it against Holyfield. and Bradley against Campbell. Basketball players or any other athletes on team sports don't need an enterance. The only sport that you can is Boxing.
Holyfield was singing a song on his way out to fight Lewis for the first time. It's been driving me nuts because I don't know what it's called and at times I can't get it out of my head
I don't know about that one. I'm too lazy to put the DVD in, but Holyfield's best entrance, by far, was against Moorer in the rematch. Holyfield's religious enthusiasm, literally, and the crowd getting into was some funny ****: [YT]WZmaI7HwfuQ[/YT]
I wish American venues would liven up the ring entrances like they do in Europe or MMA. I can barely hear the music thats being played for the fighter and its like the fighters rushed to the stage. The ring walk is very important in setting up the theme and creating tension for the fight to the fans.
