Noone can beat him. Povetkin will be outboxed badly from the
outside and maybe K.O'ed late and Wlad's chin is average for a
heavyweight. 260lb. 6 foot 5inch Thompson landed some good
shots on Wlad early as did Calvin Brock to no effect. Wlad gets
dropped by huge punchers or when he gasses out.

    "Noone can beat him" :rofl

Peter dropped Wlad 3 times last time they fought, and Peter isn't a top 4 Heavyweight in my view.

Beating Thompson who is a freaking janitor, and Ray Austin doesn't mean no one can beat him. I'll be honest, Calvin Brock was the only fighter really deserving to be fighting for the world title. Iggy isn't bad either but he needs to revert back to his Whitaker style of fighting. Wlad has a shaky chin and questionable stamina and mindset in tough fights, and in the HW division it's only a matter of time before he gets sent out of there (which has already happened 3 times)

One of the variables that separates Wlad from the rest of the heavyweights is his ability to adapt from fight to fight. Most of Wlads detractors try to pigeon-hole his abilty and style, not realizing that Wlad is still improving his physical skills and mental toughness. Yes, he has lost three times, but he has improved after each fight...the same can't be said for most fighters in the division.

No one? I'd like to see him go at it with Valuev, Golota, Chagaev, even Ruiz.

I agree with you about Calvin Brock. He was nervous early and
stumbled around a bit but the guy came to fight. He attacked
Wlad and did damage but Steward lit a fire under Wlad that night
and his offensive firepower took over. Obviously, Wlad can be beat
but right now he is peaking and the rest of the division kind of sucks.
It's a shame what happened to Brock. He had some talent.

No the same can't be said and that's why he's number one right now. But that says as much for the quality of the elite of the division as it does Wlad. The man was knocked out three times already he is far from unbeatable, and hasn't faced a live puncher since Peter years ago.

Oh yeah he's hasn't lost in 4 years against the immortal gods Ray Austin, Tony Thompson and shot Brewster. Forgive me for my ignorance, WLAD KO1 THE WORLD.

I was impressed with Wlad in the Thompson fight. A huge, tough,
iron-chinned southpaw who showed pretty quick hands, especially
early in the contest. Wlad walked him down and outboxed him and
got the crowd pleasing K.O. late in the fight. What more could you
ask for from heavyweights? These huge dudes will never approach
the athleticism of welters or middleweights. They bring POWER and
the casual fan loves that sort of thing.

Thompsons power wasn't anything special, he had pretty average power. He was a tall southpaw with faster than average hands though, he was an ok fighter. But he was not good enough to be challenging for the World Heavyweight Title, he mentally fell apart after about 6 rounds and collapsed from a punch that barely landed on him.

Just curious. How do you see the Wlad-Povetkin fight unfolding?

Wlad by mid to late round KO. Povetkin doesn't have the punching ability to take out Wlad and he won't be able to outpoint him.

Povetkin won't beat Wlad, or Haye, or anybody that throws a powerful straight right.

I like him though, he just needs to iron out that defensive flaw - because it will be costly.

I think Brewster would have to disagree with your last statement. Again, yes he has lost, but future opponents will be facing a much improved fighter since his last loss and since his fight with Peter.
