Not a hater at all. Such a stupid thing to say. Pendleton and Phillips had not fought at Light welter in years and had both been beaten when they last had.

Pac and Floyd did hammer him.

    Tszyu was inactive.

Urango was only a champion because Hatton had vacated.

Collazo did almost stop him, whereas Mosley won 11/12 rounds against him.

Castillo had been mediocre in his last 2 fights.

    Malignaggi was no puncher.

They are my opinions , i enjoyed some of his fights, but all the complaints he made about the reffing of the Mayweather fight could be levelled against Mickey Vann reffing his bouts. He let numerous fouls go unpunished.

Thats not a requirement for the HOF. If it was any pug who won a belt or two would be in the hall. Hatton is NOT HOF in the slightest. The problem is inductee's like McGuigan set a horrible precedent whereby guys on the basis of popularity alone are entering the hall. Its shambolic.

i agree with the general consensus.

it's a no if the criteria is harsher. :nono

but when ken norton and barry mcguigan get in then it's a yes. :good

to think naz was popular and a bigger name than even mcguigan in his prime.

the hall still won't accept him. :-(

let's hope hatton gets inducted one day rantings.

at this rate he'll get in before mosley does. :yep

    Who wrote the article?

I personally dont think he is HOF worthy but then again there are alot of fighters in the HOF who have no buisness being there.

    So who knows.

I was referring to the column you write elsewhere on the net.

Terry, no one has more respect for Lennox Lewis than me. He, like Hopkins, overcame the politics and unified the title. The fact he had a piece stolen away from him is lamentable in the extreme. I do empathise with some of what you're saying about The Ring but I still think it serves a purpose. It's become nigh on impossible to unify the three main belts these days, Vic was the first to do it in a number of years.

The trouble with these discussions is that they seem to highlight further problems with no obvious solutions. It's depressing! Anyway, it's been good chatting to you (eventually;)), speak soon.

    Dan.

Sugar Shane secured his place back when he was at 135. The rest of his career was a boat load of icing. Shane is an ATG and HOF bound for sure.

As for Naz im glad he isnt accepted. I liked Naz but he was exceptional and his ledger with impressive stoppages is nice but not the ledger of a HOF fighter.

And you can keep hoping. As long as there is commensense in the IBHOF commitee Hatton wont even get close. As soon as they open a "hall" for fat pork pie eating beer drinkers he can be their first inductee.

I'm not gonna get drawn on the Hatton issue as I've made my thoughts clear already, but I think there is a bit of inconsistency between saying that he is not a HOF fighter and saying that Mosley secured his place when he was at 135. IMHO Hamed's resume at 126 is significantly better than Mosley's at 135. Mosley's 135 resume is weak for mine though the wins were in impressive manner. There is only really Holiday, Molina, Leija and, at a pinch, Golden Johnson of any major substance. Hamed at 126 beat Robinson, Medina, Johnson, Soto, McCullough, Bungu, Kelley, Ingle and Vazquez. You could maybe argue Kelley/Johnson as past their best but then would have to allow the same for Leija and Molina.

I agree Mosley is a first ballet HOF fighter on his overall accomplishments but just food for thought.

Mosley admitted to injecting EPO prior to the second DLH fight. He didn't have to do this and, in actual fact, I think it had a detrimental effect on his performance. I know these comments have come off the back of (yet another) debate over Hatton's career but I think you should refrain from denigrating a fighter of Mosley's caliber because of one mistake.

Dan, if you don't mind me saying so, thats a load of apologist bull****. Mosley didn't freely give up the information regarding his drug use, it had to be dragged out of him in front of a Grand Jury. I don't have to denegrate mosley or his achievements, he has done that himself with his illegal use of EPO, testosterone and anabolic steroids....the **** is as much of a cheat as Margarito and should have been banned for life.

You sound awfully angry, calm down. There's no way you can put him in the same category as Margarito whose actions were tantamount to taking a baseball bat into the ring with him.
