I am angry, its fighters like him who bring the sport I love into disrepute.

The sport is always held in disrepute by people who don't follow it anyway. People make mistakes and that's what I believe it was with Shane, a mistake.
I'm not gonna get drawn on the Hatton issue as I've made my thoughts clear already, but I think there is a bit of inconsistency between saying that he is not a HOF fighter and saying that Mosley secured his place when he was at 135. IMHO Hamed's resume at 126 is significantly better than Mosley's at 135. Mosley's 135 resume is weak for mine though the wins were in impressive manner. There is only really Holiday, Molina, Leija and, at a pinch, Golden Johnson of any major substance. Hamed at 126 beat Robinson, Medina, Johnson, Soto, McCullough, Bungu, Kelley, Ingle and Vazquez. You could maybe argue Kelley/Johnson as past their best but then would have to allow the same for Leija and Molina.

I agree Mosley is a first ballet HOF fighter on his overall accomplishments but just food for thought.
Theres no food for any thought. The Ring had Shane ranked as a top 20 lightweight over 8 years ago in a spread they did. I have the magazine in my collection. And if i were you id watch Shanes fights at 35 and then get back to me. The manner of his dominance was what set him apart. There was no one at the time at 35 that was even close to him.

Thats a load of self righteous bull****. Do you even know what EPO is? Do you know what type of steroid it is and what it does? Are you aware that a plethora of fighters have been found guilty of using hormones including Jones? All of which other than Shane denied it? Do you know there are a slew of fighters on drugs that are illegal but not classified by the drugs and foods agency? Seriously dude get a grip and educate yourself before you get on your self righteous perch. Its incredibly subjective and as far as im concerned utter bull**** because Balco were instigated in a scandal and then tried to bring everyone down with themself. If Mosley thought he wasnt guilty he wouldnt have even bothered to testify. I mean do you care to remind the board what happened to Jones and Richard Hall?

You only have to look at Shanes performance in the first Winky fight to see that these supposed "performance enhancers" didnt even work. Mosley said himself he fought as though he had a ****** on his back.

Fine. That's their opinion and he may well be a top 20 lightweight based on talent and record. I have seen plenty of his lightweight fights and besides the first two title bouts (I hear he was ill against Holiday, who was undefeated so good win regardless) they were pretty impressive. However, it's still a sum total of one world champ, a couple of former champions on the downslide, a couple of fringe contenders and a few nobodies. Maybe a borderline Hall of Fame resume. IMHO it is what he did at the higher weights that makes him a first ballot inductee. And my point remains, if his lightweight resume makes him a hall of famer, I think Hamed's at feather has to get him in as well.

So, dominating a division for 6 years, being the king for 4 years, beating a fighter who is in the top 5 (of Greatest Junior Welterweights of All-Time) beating that fighter as an underdog, making him quit on his stool, beating Castillo, Urango, Collazo, and Malignaggi, etc. , some of which he was a live underdog and that's not HoF worthy? Pathetic.

Did you start watching boxing last year?

Where the **** was he an underdog against Castillo, Urango, Collazo or Malignaggi?

You are as daft as a plank of wood.

Planks of wood are brighter. They dont argue back. This is just typical parrot fashion diatribe from the usual Hatton drones that just repeat what they read on wrote.

I think what he means is they were live underdogs. Castillo and Malignaggi were no more than about 13/8 or 2/1 at most.

No I didn't start watch Boxing last year.

Against Paulie, Castillo, and Collazo most American boxing writers had him losing.

Please do yourself a favor and do a little research...just a little won't hurt.

Shouldn't you go back to the Man on Man Action forum? Go talk to yourself in that forum and be a big shot in there.

This isn't always the best guide. A lot (not all) of American writers are notoriously insular when it comes to their own and automatically dismissive of anything from overseas. I even read one (can't remember who) writing of the proposed Kotelnik-Salita fight that Kotelnik was "scheduled to turn over his portion of the title to undefeated Dmitry Salita". Based on what I've seen of Salita, he is unremarkable and I would favour Kotelnik to soundly whop him!

BUT lets be very realistic here, Hattons record is like swiss cheese. Its full of holes.
