I don't look at it as what bias judges would give them, but as more deserving 154 fighters who have better resumes.

Molina would be a nice matchup because he is a spoiler who could still rounds by making it ugly.

Kirkland could get hurt by Floyd, but we don't know if Floyd had enough 1 shot power to put Kirkland down like Angulo, plus Kirkland's physicallity and power could pose problems to the smaller Floyd, but I believe Floyd would KO him late.

Lara would be an excellent fight, both have excellent technique, Mayweather with the edge in experience and skill, with Lara having heavy power and size advantages.

    Excellent fight.

One or two more undercard bouts before the PPV starts.

Antonio Orozco vs. Dillett Frederick, 8 rounds @ welterweight

    and/or

Braulio Santos vs. Juan Sandoval, 6 rounds @ featherweight

Hasn't Sexy said that he isn't willing to boil down anymore even for either of them, despite wanting both Floyd and Manny? :think

Doesn't he insist they come up? (at least to a catchweight in the high 150's?)

Yeah, it will be interesting to see if Canelo has what it takes to test himself and not just go for the victory, but the first to knockout Shane Mosley.
Honestly I think Mosley is at the point in his career where a good solid fighter like Canelo can stop him.

I'm looking for Canelo to look spectacular against Shane Mosley who is well past his better days and imo nearing shot status.

IB Funfact: I will not be purchasing Pacquiao vs. Bradley PPV.

This is it for me in 2012, unless Mayweather squeezes in another date after jail.

I agree. . Cotto definitely isn't the best 154 pound fighter right now; certainly not off wins over Foreman, Mayorga, and Margarito. . .

This certainly isn't the best fight that could have been made, however, when you take in the "business" aspects of boxing, and the usual "risk/reward" calculators fighters like Floyd employ, it's a pretty damn good matchup. . I'm happy with Cotto/Floyd, as it's a long overdue fight anyway. Better late than never.

No, Martinez says he will go to 154 for Floyd.
