    Some thoughts from the card:

Nice comeback fight from Quintana to take down a younger, favored Lattimore. Indio seemed to find his groove as early as the second round, and showed flashes of aggression and power that I hadn't seen from him for a long, long time. DeAndre's defense was pretty leaky, and he seemed to be thrown off his game after getting cut, but that shouldn't detract from the quality of his performance.

Jesse Vargas probably would have looked more impressive against Alfonso Gomez- but spending 10 rounds in the ring with a crafty old vet like Steve Forbes will probably do more for his career in the long run.

Shane Mosley was an old man fighting a much younger man's style against a much younger man. Needless to say, things didn't work out so well for him. That being said, he did well to hang tough with Alvarez, and to contest some of the rounds as bitterly as he did. I even gave him a couple (1st and 11th) though one was simply a case of Canelo sizing SSM up, and the second was due to Alvarez taking his foot off the accelerator once it became clear that a stoppage of Mosley wasn't in the cards. At the very least, Mosley gave a better account of himself than Canelo's last three opponents, even though he did ship an enormous amount of punishment throughout the course of the fight.

And finally, Cotto-Mayweather was indeed the boxing match and fight I hoped it would be. I had Cotto winning the 3rd, 6th, and 8th pretty clearly. 9th was a toss up for me, so I called it even. Mayweather won all the other rounds (though I could see a case being made for the 5th being scored for Cotto).

MAC boxed extremely well and fought hard every step of the way, and did have May looking awfully uncomfortable at points in the fight. That being said, Mayweather deserves credit for keeping his cool, and for being to take the fight back when it appeared as though things were starting to get out of hand. Loved the way that May was able to find different punches to use to keep Cotto guessing throughout the fight.

As expected the Pac fans will use this as a means to denigrate Mayweather...But they should take into account the fact that Mayweather fought a much more disciplined and confident version of Cotto than the one Pac faced a few years earlier.

Quite a night at the fights, to say the least. :good

Wow. Record setting performance in this RBR. I'll make my contribution. Better late than never.
Mayweather was terrific, hats off to him. Like this version far better, in and out of the ring.
Cotto was great, and against anyone else it might have been enough. LOVED some of the early bodywork, circa Cotto 2006.
Saw it a lil closer at 116-112 than most, but it was clear to me that Mayweather was the clear winner clearly.
