Nah. Just the chance to record Quintana vs. Latimore to my DVR hard drive.

Not that big a deal in the scheme of things, but GRR

Almost felt the great Col. Sheridan was going to introduce Latimore as the black guy against Quintana but backed off and mentioned his black gloves instead.

He was supposed to fight Emmanuel Augustus at the fair grounds here but Augustus failed his neurological exam. That was just a couple weeks back.

    Round 2

Left hooks by Vargas, winging around the side of Forbes' head. They jab together and Stevie actually lands just as crisp and hard at the same time that Vargas does. Clinch and headlock. Drakulich is in for a quick break. Right to the body by Vargas as Forbes circles wide. Long jabs traded. Some left and right underhand body shots by Forbes on the way in, converting into a hug once up close. Nice jabs by Forbes, but Vargas' foot speed is keeping Forbes from landing more than one at a time or finding a home for his rare follow-up rights. Vargas jabs and drifts left. Vargas breaks into a lateral jog. Forbes comes forward in the shoulder roll, doing the James Toney bob over to his right up and down. Jabs landed this round per HBO: Vargas 14 to Forbes 2. That seems a bit off, but whatever. Uppercut by Forbes on the way in, hitting ribcage, and some slapping hooks to the hip. Vargas circles and jabs.

    20-18 Vargas
