Not every match has to be important. Some can just be for entertainment. I liked Shaq vs De la Hoya in a boxing ring. I like Kimbo Slice in mma. I like Pudzianowski in mma. I even liked Choi vs Canseco.

Freak show or not, I love this upcoming fight.

Looks like Toney is below 230 in the pic, and there are 5 weeks to go. I won't be surprised if he is below 215 for this fight.

As soon as someone not in the game comments on something out of their domain, they start making mistakes.

Toney’s next fight isn’t even a boxing match. The former three-division titleholder’s next fight will be a five-round mixed martial arts heavyweight match against UFC legend Randy Couture in the co-main event in UFC 118 on Aug. 28 in Boston.

"Toney made the kid tap out, but I didn’t notice, which tells you how much I know about MMA technique."

    Toney's becoming a submission artist.

Older article I saw not too long ago. Kind of a sad thing to read aside from the pseudo-compliment about MMA training being the most intense he's ever done...

Amazing, I think. They sent a boxing guy to evaluate MMA training. Makes sense. Next I'll have Michael Jordan oversee the engineering department at M.I.T. (Extreme example but the point is still valid...)

I think most sports you do will feel tough until you have the experience. Roy Nelson is the James Toney of MMA. He knows how to pace himself, lay on top of you, use his weight etc

Older article? Well aren't we Mr. Current Events.? I'm sorry to post ancient stuff from 4 days ago.

Also, The Ringis a boxing magazine. Toney is a former boxing champion. This writer probably needed a boxing related story, and went to Toney to get one. I doubt it was the magazine sending their most qualified choice to the scene for an educated account of what was going on.

Older relative to the stuff published today...I guess? I considered posting it here myself, but was too lazy...

And, yes, I get the publication and such, but sending someone out to evaluate how he is doing who doesn't know what he's doing is kind of counter-productive. It doesn't really serve a function. It'd be like asking me to over see a garage. I know squat about cars. I can see they're doing something...but they could be doing everything completely wrong and I wouldn't know it. Same with this guy. Toney could have been doing most, if not everything, wrong, and the guy wouldn't know it. He'd report that it looked like Toney was training hard...which he may be, but if he's doing it incorrectly or ill-adaptedly then it's not very...well, smart.

I guess that was my point.

5 rounds? I thought only championship fights were 5 rounds and the rest were 3 rounds. Guess I'm learning something.

It's 3 rounds unless Dana has created a new belt to make it 5 rounds and somehow **** over Toney more.

I can sort of see how in your mind that you link rationality to being a "hater".

I could have also sworn that you have been told several times to leave and not come back until you can put together a sensical thought...you have not done this...so why are you here?
