Odd time to print such a list given that Mayweather and Pacquiao may face off at the end of the year!

    Let's wait and see.

He didn't lose twice to Marquez. Maybe you should check the official records.

In all seriousness people get really confused on these forums. JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE PUTS UP A GOOD FIGHT IT DOESN'T MEAN THEY WON.

Marquez was more interested in getting up close and romantic with the canvas (down 4 times!!! in both bouts) than fighting Pacquaio. Marquez was saved by the bell in the 3rd round in the second bout. HE WENT TO THE WRONG CORNER!!! ha!

Pacquaio is a legend. The guy has the speed of a featherweight and the power of a welterweight. He's a freak of nature and carries his power and speed up the weight divisions. Marquez is living in a dreamworld if he thinks he can do the same just because PAC could.

PAC doesn't duck anyone, is humble and generous to the people of his country and came from a hard background. Most importantly he continues to get better and learn.

Congratulations Manny. You deserve it mate.

I would reverse Jones Jr and Pernell Whitaker for the 90s.

These people nominaiting Floyd really need to get a clue.

Pacquaio has a better resume, and better accomplishments.

He is clearly the fighter of the noughties, and unless Floyd wins a H2H against Pacquaio that isn't likely to change anytime soon.

Same, I would have Sweat Pea over Roy...just. I notice The Ring say 'Floyd didn't fight the best, so he can't be the best', then they have Roy, who mostly fought 'c' and 'b' class fighters for most of his career as their #1 for the 90's.

I think the Ring have done this to **** Mayweather jr off so he makes the fight with Manny.

Clearly Mayweather jr is the fighter of the decade.

Mayweather Jr will expose flaws in Manny's defence which can only be exposed with great handspeed, timing, and vision and only Mayweather has that.

I can't argue with Pac. His resume is vastly superior to Mayweather's. I don't think Mayweather has beaten a truely great fighter near his prime.

I think Mayweather might just edge him out H2H. Whether that changes things considering where Pacquiao started I'm not sure.

i dont know, Pac has fought far more superior technicians compared to him. Something about Pac made it hard for them to execute their plans. Floyd is against the toughest offensive arsenal right now, someone who has the speed and power to cause him trouble. A great offense can break a great defense and vice-versa:hat

Why couldn't they wait until December 2010? Definitive answer by then, for the fighter of the 2000's.
