Have to agree there, in Mayweather's time off Pacquiao replaced him and made A LOT out of it, even in Mayweather's return Pacquiao remains #1 unless defeated. Mayweather saw through that and is coming back to change it so I wouldn't say that list is final yet.

Now your being silly, it was the 147 & 140 fights vs DLH & Hatton that made Pacman from being arguably (due to close JMM fight) the best p4p fighter on earth to unquestionably a modern day phenom... you must know this.

Im not saying Manny wasnt in the running before the Hoya & Hatton fights because he was but Mayweather was ahead & others were right there with him. It was those fights that catapulted him.

Well, 1990 is still part of the ninetees, the last year of that decade. 90's ended in December 31, 1990.

I agree Mayweather is the BEST boxer this decade but Pac likely has him on achievements, the 2 will have to fight to set it straight.

Ps. I agree DLH was all done & Diaz is very ordinary but the Hatton reason doesnt count, Hatton was a good fighter & well prepaired but just got blew away. Hatton not moving his head is nothing like being weight drained, nothing at all.

Erik wasnt shot in fight 2 but was past prime, as he was in fight 1 tho not to the same extent obviously but he still had something left.

I dont think its in Erik`s nature/character to let being stopped & floored get to him mentally, the 3rd fight was so easy for Pac because ALL Erik had left was his determination, he should never have been at the 130 weight limit by that point & the 2nd Pac fight emptied him anyway.

Ps. the Butcher to the rescue of his fat idol once again

Out of mayweather and pacquiao---the fighter of the decade is definitely pacquiao for me---however, they will surely fight each other soon and if floyd wins...he'd almost certainly get it. If Pacquiao wins...erm:thinkone of the greatest ever-up there with the best of them.

Hatton was a good fighter i agree also, but Hatton is not a great or elite fighter.

Good enough to crack top 10 p4p lists & good enough to be the best 140 lber for the past several yrs + he was naturally bigger than Pacquiao... this win is HUGE for Manny, no doubt about that.

All this decade BS. That would suck quite a bit if you did your work from 1996-2005 then wouldn't it? You wouldnt have done enough in either decade to really be in the run with the top guys, unless they were in the same position or the decade just sucked.

Why do we have to wait for 2009 to end? There's no fight that will change that list no matter what the outcome is.

If Pac and Floyd fight at the end of the year and Floyd wins, good for him. A Pac win is more meaningful and than a Floyd win. Floyd should stick to >147 to cherry pick. If he fights Pac north of 140 it's like cherry picking among picked cherries.
