tons of respect for JMM, he completely moved outside his comfort zone both in weight divisions and style just to have a chance of another fight with pac
Reasons #1 and #3 are a tad misleading IMO, considering I never had him even beating Marquez, who's unquestionably the best fighter he's fought at the time he faced them. Reasons #4 through #10 are spot on though. He really is creating some legacy for himself due to his ability to fight so consistently (with the same speed, power, and overall physical abilities) at such a variety of weights. As I've said before, he's a physical marvel. I also agree completely about the improvements he's constantly making. He just doesn't seem to peak, which is really extending his legacy and standing. Hell of a fighter.
Pac may get into top ten pound for pound, be he fought no were NEAR the greats as Harry Greb, Ray Robinson and Toney Canzi.
The points going on about his outstanding record against the Mexican Greats or the 7 HOFs make no mention they were past their best, or againt Marquez (enough been said on that one) That gets my back up, especially when the journalist claims it's his "greatest achievement". Pathetic. His greatest achievement is how he's remained so deadly as he's moved up the weights and the outstanding rate of improvement he's made in his career
