Heavyweights kind of defeat the purpose of P4P, hence the understanding that the HWC is the baddest man on the planet and why it's necessary to have "P4P" ranking to begin with.

Manny has lost two fights in a row and almost got killed in his last fight, he shouldn't be ranked in the top 10 to be honest. If any other guy got KTFO and died for a few seconds in the ring, they wouldn't be on the list period, so for him to be on the list period gives him no reason to *****.

Bradley can make a legit case to be higher than Broner, but opinions are different, I personally think Broner has a higer upside...is more skilled...and is a tougher fight and better fighter (relative to their respective weight class than Bradley).

Nope, now you're lucky if they have a Ring magazine buried behind all the MMA magazines :-(

    Sure, the Ring is unbiased.

I beleive men who do heavy drugs, get really messed up and take pictures in womens underwear are above corruption or being biased in favour of their own promotions fighters.

Broner being ranked P4P is a joke if actual accomplishments are considered.

the ring is an american magazine. that is why they put guys in the top 10 p4p who have no right to be there.

    dawson
    williams
    pavlik
    broner

are just some examples of people who got into the top 10 before they earned it.

but it is a lot of fun when they get exposed.

dont get me wrong, America is the top boxing country in the world but you do not need to put every undefeated 20 fight guy into top world top 10 p4p.

the classic move it to start hyping up some B level fighter and then feed him to a young prospect and claim it is a big fight. (de marco vs broner is a great example)

We live in a world where bias is the norm. Ring Magazine is'nt anymore bias now than it was 20 years ago, they to buy into the hype created by other propaganda machines.
Considering that, I'm suprised Broner is'nt ranked higher.

At least they got fighter of the year right this year!

You know, I googled it and it seems that you're right.
Posters around this forum have been saying that Ring Magazine voted Marquez fighter of the year based on the cover of that Magazine.

Now its becoming clear to me what Ring Magazine did.
Donaire it looks like was voted the fighter of the year by Ring Magazine, but the Editor knew Donaire would'nt sell magazines.

The epic shot of Marquez in the front cover is to sell copies of the magazine at newstands.
If you look at the small print it say's "Juan Manuel Marquez scores knockout for the ages."
Marquez-Pacquiao was voted fight of the year.

I dont have a copy of the magazine so I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like to me like you're right, Donaire is the fighter of the year, yet he's not on the cover.

Well, I mean... He did avoid fighting in America... I mean, that's where u go when u want to be famous... At the very least that's where u go to impress an American magazine

didn't they have jeff lacy in the P4P top ten before he fought calzaghe? i'm pretty sure they did.

he wasn't even the best in his division. nor the second best.... that was kessler.

    Yes it sucks now.

Better to measure overall consensus among what you see, read, and discuss among people.

Chad Dawson 100% deserved his "top 10 P4P" ranking before the Pascal fight... What're you smoking?
