Ring Magazine announces Margarito/Mosley will NOT be for the championship

Why not?

 

If Margarito is the ring champ, then it is... and if its not.. then the ring magazine loses all credibility

I dont see how Mosley is ranked.

He hasn't won at 147 in two years. Has not fought there in over a year. His last fight was at 154.

Williams last two fights were above 147 (154,160) but he fought at 147 6 months ago and he's not ranked.

 

margarito isnt the champion as it stands.
mosley is not in the top 3.

explain how it could be for the ring championship?

 

Why will they lose all credibility if he isn't?, was Cotto RING champion when Margarito beat him?

 

If the champ loses, shouldn't the guy he loses to be the new champ?

yes but Margarito is not the ring champion, therefore beating him does not make one ring champ. I don't think that I should have to explain why beating Mosley does not make you ring champ.

So Margo was never the ring champ, ok makes sense... Later this year, if PW Margo happens, then it will be for the ring belt

Mosleys recent win at 147 was Collazo.

His last fight at 147 was a loss to Cotto who just got TKOed by Margo.

And if Williams isn't ranked neither should Mosley.


Williams is the rightful number 2. And PW-Margo 2 should be for the WW Title.

if margo win then hed have wins over the #2 and # 3 guy in the last year and still not be ring champion.

 

That's because Margo was number 4 when he beat Cotto. And Mosley isn't really the true number 3.

This makes sense if Margo isnt Champ but I thought he was.
