Do you own a calendar? Floyd's last solid wins against good competition were Hatton and De La Hoya in 2007. That was 6 years ago. He has declined noticeably since then. Donaire's last 6 fights happened in the last two years, and for about two years he's been better. Ward has surpassed Floyd since then too.

Froch, Dawson, and Abraham are good scalps, solid fighters who were still in their primes, taken in the last two years. Cotto and Mosley would have been better victories than that if Floyd had caught them five years ago. But that time has pushed them and Floyd out of their primes, and his record is full of old guys. He needs Bradley, Trout, or Canelo, after Guerrero to prove he still has it and can beat a talented fighter under the age of 35. If this were five years ago, Floyd never would have had that much trouble with Cotto. a used up old Cotto too that looked like **** in his next fight against Trout.

The only reason Floyd and Pac were aloud to hang on to the top spots while other guys were doing better work was to hype their super fight that never materialized.

Floyd was already a pound for pound number, and Marquez was what, unranked or something? Floyd moved up to fight the #1 guy, Cotto, but Cotto was barely cracking the P4P list at the time. Manny was number 1. JMM also moved up to fight him.

So beating the number 1 pound for pound guy isn't enough to make you become the pound for pound #1 guy because you've fought him before? Really?

Beating Cotto was a better win than beating Pacquiao, who had dominated most of his opponents since Marquez 2?

Floyd gets an advantage in ranking because he may or may not fight Canelo in September? What?

Under the way P4P rankings have always worked, Marquez should have been ranked #1 for toppling the best ranked fighter in the world and being established on the list for a long time already as the lightweight king.

 

How can Timothy Bradley not be in the top 10?! Even if you think he lost to Pacquiao he still beat virtually everyone else at both weight classes.

 

This here looks about right. This is my 10 as well. Broner hasn't beaten anyone and doesn't deserve to be ahead of guys like Froch or Bradley.

Ward beat Froch his best win,drew/lost to Bika, beat a ring rusty half blind Kessler, beat AA who was on a losing streak, beat a statue in Green, beat a weight drained hype job in Dawson who was already exposed by Pascal.
Froch decimated Bute which is more than anything Broner has done.

Pac's lost once in how many years to a hail mary and he tumbles that far down? Bradley was humiliated by Pac yet he's top 10? wth.

Bradley garbage as shown when a shot Pac walked through him.
Ward carefully matched and lost to part time Boone.
Broner unproven and already lost to Deleon who is nothing special at all.

Manny has lost his last two fights, lucky to be ranked at all.

These lists are always opinion based. People take them too seriously.

In regard to him being higher ranked than Pacquiao, I agree with it: Broner would beat Pacquiao right now at 135, 140 and 147. As others have mentioned, Pacquiao is lucky to be on the list after losing 2 in a row. (Regardless of what you think of the Bradley outcome, it's an official loss)
