    wrong

the ring gives their belt out in two ways, as others have already stated

    way #1

    beat the current ring champion

    way #2

the ring #1 and ring #2 fight when there isn't a ring champion, winner gets belt

it really isn't that hard to understand

Have we finished now with the mangling of the original meaning of 'catchweight'?

I love how you state these things as if it were somekind of official fact, rather than just your rather illogical opinion.

Do you consider all IBF title fights to be 'not in any weight division' due to their restrictions on post weigh-in rehydration weight gain, or are those kind of restrictions ok with you?

    No need to blame Oscar.
I'm a Pac man myself but EVERYONE knows Mosley was the true welterweight champ.

Now what? Mosley is the man at WW, but people don't want him on the ring with Manny because he's too old.

They wan't JMM instead. Now Manny will never be the man at WW.

He tried to and got turned out with delusional demands. It's not mainly his fault the fight didn't happen, Pac tried to make it happen and still does. Pac deserves to be #1, if the #1 openly shows he doesn't want to fight him then Pac takes his spot.

thats amazing. I thought his destruction of Cotto, Maragarito ( regardless of the fight taking place at 154 ) abd his defeat of clottey he would be recognized as Champ. Mayweather still a thorn in Pacquiao side.

    FACTS

    - Judah vs Spinks II= Judah Undisputed Welterweight Champion
    - Judah vs Baldomir= Baldomir Undisputed Welterweight Champion

    - Baldomir didn't pay his sanctioning fees for the WBA and IBF titles. So the IBF title went back to Judah. And I think Luis Collazo ended up getting the WBA title, while Baldomir kept the WBC.

    - Baldomir is the man at welterweight.

    - Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Zab Judah = Mayweather being WBA Champ
    - Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Carlos Baldomir = Mayweather being WBC Champ

    - Ring magazine lists Floyd Mayweather as the Ring Champion at the welterweight division. As he is really the undisputed welterweight champion having beaten the former undisputed welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir.

    - Floyd Mayweather Jr. Retires.

    - Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margaritio's fight declares Margarito the man at welterweight in the wake of Floyd's retirement.

    - Antonio Margarito is now the man at welterweight having defeated Miguel Cotto

    - Shane Mosley Ko's Margarito making him the man at welterweight.

    - Shane Mosley is now the man at welterweight.

    - For whatever stupid reason, the Ring magazine decides to rate Pacquiao the number 1 rated welterweight for beating De La Hoya.

    - Floyd comes out of retirement and beats JMM & Shane Mosley at welterweight and is rated number 1 at welterweight by the ring magazine.

    - The Mosley fight would've been Floyd's 7th title in 5 weight classes had he wanted and fought for Shane's belt.

    - Manny Pacquiao fights Antonio Margarito at "jr. middleweight" for a paper title, and the ring rates his performance at "jr. middleweight" as a welterweight fight. And moves Pacquiao to number 1 in Welterweight rankings even though the fight was billed at 154.

In my opinion Floyd is still the man at Welterweight.

This part: your opinion, not 'FACT'.

In a lot of people's opinions, and the consensus opinion of the Ring ratings panel, Cotto v Margarito did not create a new welterweight lineage because The Ring, and many others ranked Williams above Margarito due to Williams' win over Margarito less than a year previously and the fact that he had comprehensively avenged his loss to Quintana.

Why are so many people so delusional as to consider their personal opinion to be 'fact'?
