Not really worth it anymore as the news is out of date. Its still pretty good for "classic" news though on fighters from yesteryear.

[QUOTEGolden Boy promotions owns that magazine and always have their fighters on the cover or have their fighters rank high on their list.][/QUOTE]

This month is Paquiao. Next Month it's Margarito. Last month it was haye, Calzaghe and Pavlik. There's alot more top rank there than GBP. And I know it's fun to find conspiracies but I can't think of any GBP fighters who have been rushed up to undeserved rankings since the magazine was bought by them.

Pacquiao is co-promoted by Golden Boy. So you are telling me Casa deserved the Ring Magazine belt after the Santa Cruz fight?

I might have to look into that. I have never bought one because they are way too expensive but If I could get a subscription that cheap then it would be worth it.

On the same night at the same venue? I wonder what they would do about the rings. They would need a boxing ring and an MMA cage side by side. That would be strange.

I subscribe to Boxing Digest and purchase The Ring from time to time, depending on what articles are there. The news is kind of dated, but the Classic stuff and ratings are good. Some people claim the magazines are biased, but I find a lot more bias in the articles on boxing websites than I do in Boxing Digest or The Ring, and I generally find the quality of writing to be better in the magazines.

I would say no. Even with Golden Boy Promotions owning it now, by the time you get the issue the matches have been written and discussed extensively on the internet.
