Did I mention that Joe Louis also carried the weight of Germany’s resentment?

Now that's a deer of a different color. Were Louis's shoulders made of titanium or something?

If it’s shaped like a hay bale or a dead animal they will never falter to lift it, it is known.

The only old timers that can make a top 10 are Joe Louis & Jack Dempsey, but even they werent the same level of "old timers" as Sullivan, Corbett, and Jack Johnson, slayer of middleweights, best opponent after HWC being freaking Jess Willard

Not that bad for the most part.

Gene Tunney, Vitally Klitschko and Jim Cobrett ate too high.

Jim Jeffries and Wladamir Klitschko are too low.

How Johnson is considered a top 10 HW is beyond me, nobody can argue the societal impact his reign brought but his title defenses were beyond laughable, most folks he fought were significantly shorter, smaller, or greener than him.

I think in 'greatness' terms he makes it there, which is the same argument you could make for Louis. If you're weighting H2H heavily then a guy like Louis probably drops a lot and a guy like say Vitali, shoots up.
